SOURCE: How do I prime the fuel system after changing the

Hi,

Just pump up the system with the pump on top of the fuel filter then when it is hard to pump then just start it up.

If it don't start just keep winding it over until it fires up.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

SOURCE: engine intermittently loses power at

This issue could be quite a few things. First off does the check engine light come on at all? If so you should take it to your nearest autozone and they can scan the trouble codes free of charge. That will help narrow down the issue significantly.

SOURCE: 2002 WG Jeep Grand Cherokee

The error P1130 and P1131 is for the fuel trim and lean fuel mixture respectively. This tells me that this may be an issue with the air fuel mixture or its reached its limits in compensating for the incorrect mixture. You could try to clean out the intake first using carb cleaner spray or tuner spray to clean out the intake and the MAF sensor which measures the air that comes in. Check also if there are leaks or gaps on the air duct found between the air filter and the intake manifold and the intake plenum. Leaks would cause the system to get an incorrect reading. If it were a faulty sensor you should get the error code for the sensor and you may have issues starting the engine up.

Check also the vacuum hoses which may be loose or cracked that needs replacing or refitting. This is also a common cause. I also do not rule out the possibility of the fuel sensors going or starting to go bad. The PCV may also need cleaning or replacing.

With all mentioned items go check first the leaks of the intake system and the vacuum lines as these are found to be common. Some leaks or cracks are minimal but is crucial to the sensors.

2005 Pontiac G6 - intermittent start 3.5.

If introducing starting fluid (or any other flammable aerosol) into the intake manifold allows an engine to start and run when it previously would not, it is safe to say that the issue is with the fuel system. Using an alternative fuel source in this way bypasses the vehicle's fuel supply and fuel delivery systems. Think of the fuel supply system as the fuel pump and the fuel delivery system as the fuel injectors. The fuel pump takes fuel from the fuel tank and pushes it up to the fuel rail where it stops at the injectors. The injectors when actuated allow that fuel to enter the intake manifold. A failure in either system will result in no fuel injection. In my experience the most common fuel system failures that can cause a no-start condition are the fuel pump and fuel pump relay. Both can begin to fail intermittently towards the end of their life. Another important consideration specifically with this vehicle is the anti-theft/immobilizer system. The 2005 Pontiac G6 has a vehicle theft deterrent (VTD) system that will send a "fuel disable" message to the powertrain control module (PCM) if the transponder in the ignition key is not recognized. I have a 2008 ford kuga 2.0 tdci 4x4 when its below 5ºc it will not start i have pluged a snap on scanner in and has come up with a fuel pressure fault any ideas ?

Diesel fuel tends to be sluggish to pump in cold weather and that is why some diesel cars and trucks have heaters in the fuel tank to overcome this problem. However I tend to think that the glo-plugs are not working as they should be. Have them tested . The fuel pressure fault may be the inability of the pump to pump enough fuel to do the job.

Engine will not start after changing battery in 2004 Isuzu Rodeo

Get yourself a can of starting fluid spray, and spray NO MORE than a two second burst into the air intake after removing the filter. Then crank it. If it fires (very briefly), your problem is low or no fuel delivery to the engine.

Rodeo petrol starts but wont rev

Holden Rodeo 1989 2.6mpi , start and only runs for 2 or so seconds themselves stalls, after putting on a fuel peesure gauge, fuel looked okay and slowly dropping, found the ECM relay was intermittently switching on and off, gave it a tap and the engine kept on running, relay not repairable, replace with new part. Located in the fuse and relay box on the right hand side of engine bay next to battery. Hope this helps.

BMW 320TDI HARD TO START WHEN WARM

I had the same problem on my 330d M-Sport Touring. My problem was identified as 2 faulty injectors al;lowing too much fuel to flow back into the fuel lines. This resulted in reduced common rail pressure and the ECU would not start the injectors. I recommend getting a leak back test done and this will confirm if the injectors are good or bad. Try and find a Bosch service centre as these guys will know how to do the test and also how to fit the injectors properly.
Good luck
