I have never seen a trans with 205,000 miles on it,
& I once owned a trans repair shop

So pull it out & have it rebuilt

Fluid is changed to replace it's ability to
remove heat, no other reason

1999 Mitsubishi Montero Sport speedometer isn't working. Replaced speed sensor and the output sensor. Also it's not shifting until driven for about 15 minutes and then it starts to shift normal.

I have the same shifting problems with 3 Toyotas.
I have not found a cure, but here is a suggestion.
Likely the slow shifting is sticking valves or pistons in the transmission.
Try to have the transmission serviced, by changing the fluid and the filter, if it has one.
I should recommend you go to a "highly spoken of " local transmission shop.
I have had really bad results with national brands, who are very determined to overhaul your transmission for a few thousand dollars.
Ask your local shop about the speedometer problem.
God bless your efforts.

My question is my 2002 Montero sport takes a while to shift does it mean I need a transmission

If transmission fluid level is up to par then you just might need tranny repair. And that is not cheap.

1988 chevy 4x4 k1500 auto tranny wont shift into 2nd, 3rd etc

Check the sensors on the transmission. May just be corrosion on the sensors or it may be a faulty sensor. Also, the torque converter bearing may have went bad due to the running it on low transmission fluid.

I have an 98 montero sport ls v6 3.0 auto 4x4. It starts up good and runs great but it won't shift out of 2nd gear! Sometimes it may take a few seconds to kick into 1st gear after I've taken off...

Probably the oil filter is blocked.
Warm it all up with a 30-45 minute drive & then change the oil in the gearbox whilst it's still hot. Make sure you also change or thoroughly clean the gearbox oil filter at the same time.
After that you're looking at the tension bands & the dog-clutches, which are a specialist mechanics job.

When my 1998 plymouth grand voyager runs a long time the transmission starts to have a hard time shifting or not shifting at all until it cools down.

How many miles? I'm guessing 150k atleast. A complete transmission flush/pan filter is probably your only option. Other than that, it is mechanical and needs to be rebuilt or the torque converter replaced, etc. Basically, if the flush/pan filter doesn't work, you probably need a new vehicle.

The transmission is shifting hard going from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd on my 1998 GMC sierra 1500 4x4 5.7 liter. This does not happen until about 15 to 20 minutes of driving. Before that the...

rec check fluid first. If trans fluid hasn't been changed in last 30,000 miles change fluid, filter and pan gasket. At that time inspect for foreign materials in bottom of pan or on magnet if you have one. If truck has over 100K and fluid was never changed you may have more problems if changing the fluid.

Auto transmission problem in mitsubushi montero suv

Well if sounds like possible a vacuum modulator or if the fluid and filter haven't been changed in say 40,000 miles or more I would recommend changing the tranny fluid and tranny filter.

98 Volvo S70 -It's that time to change the ATF

No the volvo does not have a servicable filter, The best thing to do is to flush new fluid through the transmission periodically, replacing all of the fluid.
