SOURCE: car stalls in wet weather

Take a look at the ignition system, most likely there are coils and ignition wires on this car, but don't quote me on it. However, this is very likely on a seventeen year old car.
Anyway, if the wires are more than four or five years old, it might be a good idea to replace them as moisture tends to get into the insulation and cause a misfire or stall. (I had this problem with my '89 Tracer and it drove me nuts). Another issue is check the ignition coils and make sure there are no cracks as these will less moisture in and cause a misfire.

perhaps you need a new cap and roter a new spark plug wire set. they don;t like moisture. also check to see if you have any broken or leaking vacuum hoses. the worse case senerio would be that your head gasket is leaking--at cold temps a little antifreeze will enter until everything warms up and it seals shut due to metal expanding. but since you say it's cold weather only--this probably wou;dn't be the case. good luck.

2015 jeep Grand Cherokee climate control cup holder lights. what is fuse #?

Hi, I have a 2014 Grand Cherokee Laredo E. There is a white line at the top of the cupholders that I would expect to light up with the ambient lighting, but does not light up in my truck. Does it light up in others? Is there a way to get lighting in there?

Thanks,

Wiper control module location on a 2000 f250

Did you check the wiper relay's in the under hood fuse box ? There are two ,wiper run/park relay & wiper high low relay ! Also ,did you check fuse's ? fuse # 11 - 30amp location cental juction box . The wiper switch is a input to the GEM module . Generic electronic module . The module in most cases isn't the problem ! What they should do is take the vehicle to ford certified Technician who has the knowledge and testing equipment to find an fix it .

The generic electronic module (GEM) receives inputs from the following:

  • anti-lock brake control module (vehicle speed signal [VSS])

Nissan Quest 1999 Van - rear wiper seems to be running even if there is no key in the ignition and drains the battery, pulled RR Wiper fuse 10 Amp and it did not help. When the key was inserted into rear...

If you pulled the correct fuse for the rear wiper (Under the Dash) (or under the hood?) sometimes there are 2 fuses. But if you pulled the correct fuse and you still have power going to the wiper, I would pull the fuse on either side of the wiper fuse socket. With the wiper fuse socket empty, pull the fuse on the left or right one at a time, check for power at the wiper motor each time a fuse is pulled. When you find the power source then you'll need to trace your wiring where the wipers and say for example the dome light meet. I can almost bet the wires have rubbed or something like that and are feeding power to each other. Maybe a melted wire or like what I found on my sons car was that the back side of the fuse block had melted from him running all those high power stereos. He melted the block and the connection melted together. Hope this helps.

Yes my fuse for my wipers keeps blowing and my wipers turn on when i plug fuse in even know the wipers are turned off.

The power distribution box in the engine compartment # 6 , 30 amp mini - fuse , front wiper motor , front wiper relay , front washer pump , FEM ( also # 7 , 25 amp mini - fuse , rear wiper etc. ) The owners manual shows to disconnect your battery cables before servicing anything in the PD BOX

your relay could be shorted which makes the fuse keep blowing

1995 dodge caravan

it happens every time you run the rear wipers, it blows out the fuse, and thus the red air bag light goes on. they are on the same circuit. try not to use the rear wiper. to fix it, just temporarily use a 15 or twenty amp fuse in place of the blown out one (refer to the manual for fuse box and amps), this will set the wiper to sit back in its normal position. After this has been done, go ahead and replace the fuse with the correct amps, and the air bag red light will sets off.
Note:( reason to use higher amps is to allow the wiper to sit back in its own place, otherwise, if using the same lower amps it will keep blowing it out.) ofcourse disconnect battery first. Good luck
