You need to run a diagnostic scan to see what is going on...the injector control module could be the problem, or a number of other things.

Bro You should start from regulator of high pressure , it's placed on high pressure pomp (common rail). I had same problem. So you have to tell me, you have high pressure pomp made by BOSCH or SIEMENS? If by BOSCH than on back side of pomp you have to find something like that i have a grand vitara - 2913d991-2c1c-4fa1-8ac5-66f92ee5e343.jpg
and remove that , clean by WD-40 and air blow, reinstall and tell me it helped? if not i'll help you on next step

what engine? state displacement, the maker of engine,
or VIN, the VIN engine code or the Suzuki engine codes.

Suz. uses many engines world wide, and uses many diesels
world wide, their engine or others!

Suzuki uses over 54 Gas /petrol engines world wide, identify yours, exactly
Ive never counted up all Diesels they used, (But will soon and add it to WIKI)
Are you the USA? or Canada we have alldata dot com and mitchells.

and our suzuki parts counter sells the FSM book for car and engine. I'd never rebuild any engine with out the book.

repairing diesels is anything but simple.

Have you tried checking the catalytic? This is for filtering the gases from the combustion and can be one of causes of the power failure.

Do i need lock tool to change cam belt on a 03 grand vitara

I'd be first confirming whether you have a 1.6 litre Grand Vitara (petrol), or a 2 litre turbo diesel. The 2 litre petrol (straight 4 or V6) or 2.5 litre petrol engines are all chain drive.
If your engine is petrol then no lock tool is required (to hold the camshaft). Of course, there is a specific position that an engine should be rotated too before removing the belt from ANY engine.
If it's diesel, then although I'm unfamilar with that particular engine, the general requirement for diesel engines with high pressure injection pumps is "yes, you require a lock tool" to hold the injection pump pulley. As I think these are a common rail set-up, this requirement may not be necessary. Check with your Suzuki Dealer, or maybe someone else here will know more. A similar question may have already been asked and answered here too.

Has no power

The turbo unit may have bad bearings and is ineffective. Check the throttle plate to verify that it opens all the way when the pedal is pushed down.

Engine management light on ,suzuki grand vitara 2 litre turbo diesel, engine feels slugish

Take the car to an autoparts store and have them scan the computer for any fault codes stored. The check engine light is to alert you that the computer has noted a fault in one of the car's systems. Getting the codes will show what the computer has noted and curb the need for speculation. Most parts stores will perform the scan for free. Hope this helped and best wishes.

SUSUKI VITARA 2008 ENGINE

Hello, I think Suzuki offered Peugeot/Citroen Diesel engines in the earlier models but started offering Renault Diesel in 2006. I believe that the gas motors were all Suzuki.
If you find that this info to be correct would you please enter a "fixya" rating.
Thanks, Gator241
