Just wont spark!!!

Hi, First I went for the Ignition Coil (got 3 from the competitive models, from JY of course), then Transistor Ignitor ( same model from JY), then LED module of Distributor (same model from JY), even then it wont spark. Finally I had to dig in from savings and get new coil from Autozone and distributor with cap, rotor and new lead set. Timed it to North on T-belt with rotor in spark position ONE. Besides, still no spark, and spent almost $300 and 3 days. Can anyone suggest something I have not tried out or missing.

Thank you very much snownbird33, it too was checked earlier on. Was fine! If you have an earlier experience please elaborate.

Will appreciate if you could give options 1,2,3, etc briefly.

    Regards

Good day
If you had replace all of that, I would check the fuse for you ignition system. Make sure that you take the fuse completely out to look at it. Please let me know how you make out. If no luck we can look into this deeper.

Cheers.

Hi my toyota corolla 2002 model heated so done the complete motor now any just swings. has a first initial spark then no sspark. Any ideas?

You treat it as if there was no spark at all. doesn't sound like the ignition coil, so it could be the ignitor (on American cars called the ignition control module, or ICM, but both are basically the coil control module-it controls the primary and secondary windings in the coil) . You can have the ignitor tested at most parts stores. If it is good, next suspect the crank position sensor. This sensor is used by the engine computer to determine spark firing and spark advance, so if bad, there won't be spark. Could be more to check, but start with those two. Usually one of them is bad, or the coil itself is bad.
Have you checked for any fault codes with a scanner?

Were is a 1992 geo ignition control module

which engine 1.0L: 3 cyl? called a G10. or called LP2 by GM.
there are many parts. for ignition
the CMP sensor in the distributor
the ECU , generates all spark
via the ignitor and it runs the coil.
so what module do you what?
my wild guess is you have spark problems, does it run? at all?
the ECU will tell you when the CMP or ignitor is bad, did you ask it?
posting symptoms always wins over show and tell parts. huh>?
for sure that, not knowing the names.
so here is me, rolling dice on G10s

the CMP cam sensor is in the distributor.
the ECU sees those pulses, if bad sets a DTC error
then the ECU generates spark , all spark by
pulling the Ignitor
the ECU uses the ingitor (its just a large transistor)
that changes the induction coil and makes spark
the ECU also throws a DTC if the ignitor goes dead
to see said errors, insert the diagnostic connector jumper
and crank a dead engine (is it.) for 5 long seconds.
the ECU will in fact report, even 1 missing pulse in 10.
here is the drawing, (alldata.com, has it , log in and read)

need help ask..
where is the ignitor or ECU?, which is it?, do say and can answer.
ecu
the ECM is located on the driver's side of the vehicle behind and below the instrument panel.
the ignitor is near the ign, coil
each generation of swift/metro has the ignitor in the ECU or outside
and varies by engine type. not stated.
the below is G10 ECU.
CMP, ECU, filter, ignitor and Ignition coil at bottom

Where is igniter lacated on rav 4 1998

98? what engine?
the ignitor can be in 3 places on all cars.
1: fire wall. connects to 1 coil, or 2 coils(WS) or 4 COPS.
2: ECU
3 :inside the COPS.

the ignitor changes the induction (spark) coil.
and can be in any of 3 places.

i log in to alldata dot com, so can you (a USA example ONLY)
it has 2 (4pin( Igniters)
so obvious has wasted spark.
power pin, ground pin and 2 , pins to ECU.

it says, in the finder, ignition coils 1and2 with ignitor
in coil finder, and service, it states
remove throttle body to access coils

RTM
see coils, ? see wire they go to one place, the ignitor
follow the those wires, see igniters.

Not firing to da distributor

No fire (spark) from the coil? Check for a 12 volt power signal to the coil with key on, and test the coil, or swap in a known good coil. If no help, find and test the ignition control module, or ignitor as it is called on Japanese models.

Spark plugs wont spark car wont start

ignition coil and the ignitor assembly within the distributor. The ignitor assembly grounds the ignition coil at a frequency to saturate and trigger the ignition coil. The coils fail relatively often. good-day!!

94 toyota camery 4 cyl wont start Ichecked the fuel injectors there ok checked fuel pump works fine replace distributor cap and the ignitor but I dont get a spark at the sparkplugs.henrys

check all efi and ign fuses first...then check pickup coil and ignition coil in distributor w/ ohm meter...since you already replace the ignitor, then mostly likely it's the pickup coil or ignition coil...buy the whole

No spark from Coil. Coil is new. Car stopped restarted ran a few feet. After 1/2 hr started and ran for 1hr was turned off 3 times died won't start

it coul be the ignition module in the distributor or depending on the model it could be the transistor unit
