I have recently purchased a volvo V40 that was an ex paramedic car. I am trying to install a volvo SC-805 stereo into it but it is not powering up. Are there any diagrams i can get to make sure my connectors are wired the right way to work this unit??

Sir We can not by law pass security codes to you. The reason we can not do so is that any thief could steal someones audio equipment ask for the code and profit from your loss. The only legal means of getting the code is to contact the source of purchase for the equipment be it a retailer or auto dealer. They are supposed to verify the VIN & registration of the vehicle with the serial number of the audio equipment. I apologise for not answering your question but this is the best information I can legally pass you.

There is an a/c on/off button on the center stack. Some have an auto button as well.

sorry to be the bearer news but i think you will have to go to a dealer for code its more trouble trying to get it yourself as you need to dismantle unit & lookm at diodes inside unit.

Leave the stereo on constantly for 2 hours with the key in egnition but engine not running. After 2 hours the stereo will reset and the OFF will change to CODE.
