Could be many things but most common is lifters (valve) .Usally the best solve is use a chysler oil filter. The check valve is better then most aftermarket ones.If it has a lot of miles it may tick but only for 1 to 5 seconds.Another solution is a motor additive such as a honey they call it theres many at your parts store. If engine is dirty inside i myself have added one quart of automitic transmission oil to crankcase. It`s a detergent and will clean up things.Only one quart per change. good luck hope i helped

Harmonic balancer in a 1995 Toyota celica installation

I am unsure about the specific problem you have with this, but normally it would just slide on the crankshaft nose after lining up the key and keyway. The securing bolt on these is normally done up very tight, and some makers recommend threadlock liquid. If an auto you would need a powerful impact wrench, sometimes called a 'rattle gun', to get it tight enough.

A rattling nose when hitting rough roads and rr crossings

could be a loose heat shield on the exhaust or motor. could also be a problem with the struts but with a vehicle that new most likely just a loose heat shield.

Accent crdi back compretion started recently

try again my explorer locked up ,right front pulley behind it is the timing gear which is locked into place by a keyway ,this keyway wears and rattles plus the timing gear so the timing is out and the valves hit the pistons ,result back pressure from the bent valves ,the keyway and on the front of the timing gear is another roll pin into the crank nose and they all break here allowing the keyway to chomp away at the timing gear and woodruff key .Result an expensive repair on this diesel engine

My car makes a rattling nose when i stop

Hard to say and being able to pin point the source, but it may be an exhaust shield with a broken weld, causing the sheild to rattle against the pipe. Just a thought.

98 pontiac granb am... run good tell that fuel starts making a hi pich nose. then die it starts back up. well i did now it starts but give it gas and it puts????? can you help me.....????

You should start with testing fuel pressure you may Also wont to replace your fuel filter,.If the fuel pressure test OK the high pitch noise you are talking about is it from the exhaust .if so then chances are that you have a bad catalytic converter ,if bad it may rattle if taped on ,is so what happens is the broken pieces in it turn sideways causing a restriction in the exhaust ,hope this helps you ,please let us know if we can be of any further assistance . Thank You.

Buick Regal Gs supercharger nose assembly please help if you can

the 3.8" supercharger (belt) pulley? You need a special tool as they are press fit.
www.intence-racing.com and www.3800performance.com

both carry it and offer the tool for rent as well.

Much of the noise comes from the coupler, however there are case (needle) bearings as well that wear, Those are much more difficult to replace.
