Close the hood and get in and lock everything, then get out of the passenger side only, this will disable the anti theft relay to the alarm. Now walk arounfcto the drivets door and un lock it with the key, pull the hood release and check under the hood for the fuse box, or wherever your fuse box is. Disconnect the negative battery cable and start popping the fuses in and out 1 at a time, (keeping them in the right spots.) until everything is back to normal.

Locating 3 amp fuse to radio which is secondary fuse after main fuse at the fuse block under dash. Followed wiring diagram which indicates fuse should be near or inside radio enclosure.

Question edited for clarity, 'fuse', unless you light it 'fuze'.Question moved to sub category.

If the radio has an inline fuse, it will be within 82 of the plug at the rear. They are built into the harness. Unlikely because there are three fuses covering audio.

Anti theft shorted out.

You should look for the alarm fuse and relay and replace them.
Is it the factory alarm or what brand?

We have a 2002 Hyundai XG350 that appears to have the anti theft system locked, help us with deactivating the anti theft system?

Could be messy since disabling the alarm may disable your ignition circuits so you have to be really careful about this procedure. Sometimes they have kits to bypass the system and they guarantee that it will work - might want to look into that alternative.

Alarm keeps going on after an hour on my 98

well one if the door sensors are tipping.
did you read the chapter on the anti theft system yet?
in the FSM
or at alldata.com
diagnosis is not all that easy.
but step 1 is , finding which sensor tripped, and then testing it.
(it might even just be rusty)
on most cars this old we defeat it . as they can be problematic.
old connections love to fail.

what fails,
1: engine wont run immoblized
2: alarm dead.
3: alarm trips when all is good.
4: does car drive perfectly day and night.
5: do all other things work perfect. radio, lights?
6: do any cluster lamps fail, keyon, for example
the immobilizer lamp must go out, per operators guide.

we can not guess any of that.
it must be stated up front
why not start your own post.?
