Question about 2005 Ford Focus

1 Answer

I have a european 2005 Ford Focus 1,6 (115 HP). The engine light has come on, and the car has also a little less power. The shop says they got good indication that is the intake solenoid. I replaced the solenoid, but it did not seem to help. Got any idea what can cause engine light and loss of power (torque)?

I have same car, some rattling engine noise especially at low revs, engine light came on, some loss of power, dealer plugged it into computer, said it was the belts/chains for variable cam system, I got them replaced (there are 2 of them) and now its good.

My Ford 2005 Focus clock/radio is possessed.

Check engine light would have nothing to do with this ! Check engine light is for engine codes ! there is a problem with the radio it self ! or SJB - smart junction box , ford's BCM - body control module . You should take it to a qualified repair shop . or ford dealer !

Recommend replace fuel rail pressure sensor, make sure connector and wiring are good, clear codes and recheck.

Your alternator regulator is controlled by the PCM, engine computer. Check all grounds and wire connections going from alternator to PCM.

Last week I had an alternator changed on my ford focus, when I pull out of parking lot I had bigger problems than a battery light on when car was brought in. Turns out they accidently pushed axle in too...

i just replaced my alternator on my 2003 ford focus and the only way to get it out of the engine compartment was to put a jack between my drive shaft and power steering shaft to get the few millimeters of needed clearance to remove the old one and insert the new one. Answer is: They probably did the same thing and forced it too far apart, damaging the components.

Where is the fuse panel for a 2005 ford focus four door

Passenger compartment fuse panel
The fuse panel is located below and to the left of the steering wheel by
the brake pedal. Remove the CD stowage box to access the fuses.
To remove a fuse, use the fuse puller tool provided on the power
distribution box cover located in the engine compartment.

Power distribution box
The power distribution box is located in the engine compartment. The
power distribution box contains high-current fuses that protect your
vehicle’s main electrical systems from overloads.

For this and other details can check the 2005 Ford Focus - Owners Manual (page 148 and next).

Hope help with this (remember rated this help). Good luck.

Check engine light was on yesterday, off today

Ford's can store info in the computer for a while . you can take it in to a shop and have them put a code reader on the port under the dash and tell you what happened... Sometimes these codes are just a one-time event and they will clear themselves... But a reputable shop will tell you the code and if it's a worry or not. Let me know.
