It worked fine before i unhooked the battery to replace the transmission. What is there to check on that? I am an ASE certified mechanic, and am also an expert on the Just Answer website. Feel free to use technical terms and data.

I would look for the wires to the transmissions PCM maybe you pinched a wire or if you put in bone yard tranny the PCM May have got wet or been dropped the trans computer will tell the engines PCM
What tell the tps so you get a tps code cause it reads out of limits
It's happend to me you should look that direction for a bit

Replacing the ECU on a 1999 VW Passat Sedan 1.8 Turbo

if u have an electronic key than security codes from ur key must be programmed into the ecu to match-- most ecu change overs on cars usually require a trip to the dealer so they can install their programming most auto shops dont have the funds to, or customer base to spend thousands [every auto maker has their own software and update and change every year]-- every year on reprogramming software for ecu-- they may do only 1 or 2 a year

They may not be firing. I would check spark from coils. You may have a bad coil pack. Do check for any vacuum lines. You can go to autzone.com and register for full free online repair manual

p1545 is a throttle control malfuction code

You can try to reset the throttle body by opening the hood and drivers door then turning your key to the accessory position. You will hear the throttle body whir and click. It may take up to two minutes. Afterward, the car will relearn your habit of driving and adjust accordingly.

I researched this & you need to replace the throttle body gasket & get the throttle body re-calibrated. Seems to be dealer only. Also, the t.p.s. (throttle position sensor) could be bad.
