Throttle cable could be binding inside the housing that attached to the throttle body. Also the throttle positioning sensor could be faulty as well.

Replace both clutch slave and master cylinders, and bleed well. I've also had this happen.

SOURCE: gas pedal unresponsive

Try this: Go to your local parts store and purchase a can of (throttle body cleaner) you will take your air filter out and remove the big tubing that is connected to your throttle body and filter housing. Spray the cleaner inside the throttle body, open the (butterfly) and spray around the pivot the butterfly opens and close on. What happens is you get carbon build up in these areas and it causes the gas pedal to feel like it's stuck and have to apply more pressure to the pedal. You will see alot of black carbon run out of the throttle body. Take a clean rag and wipe down the area of the throotle body. Repeat the cleaning 1-2 times. put your air inlet tubing back on and re-install your filter. It may seem hard to start at first but it's drying out the cleaner that was sprayed inside the body. Try this and see if this works. I've done this on many vehicles that shops want to charge $300 to do and all you need is $5 cleaner. It's very easy to do and takes 20 min.

F22a engine produces strange noise most obvious at 2000 rpm, what could the problem be?

Without a general description of what the noice sounds like, squeal as compared to knocking, it is impossible to help you. Engines make a lot of different noises, so try and help by describing noise. I would suspect it is belt related, or tension pulley related as these are RPM variable noises, belts tend to slip when you accelerate and can be quite loud with a serpentine belt as example.

Engines shuts down when idling Car starts if accelerating but shutsoff when gas pedal is released.

You have an air flow problem. It could be a dirty air filter, or a vacuum leak (hissing noise) or a clogged catalytic converter. All three of these will cause a shut down at idle and poor fuel economy.

Hello, My 2010 Mazda 5 is having engine ping/knock issues, the dealers cannot hear anything, but it happens since two months ago and I am sure it is the engine knocks, not anything else. It happened...

It's called lugging, and it will happen with any manual trans car at low speed in a high gear. Nothing wrong -- it's a hint that you need to downshift . . .
