This indicates that there is low oil pressure, check the oil pump pressure, could be wearing out.

Oil light flickers when it warms up, when your stopped.

The flickering light usually indicates low oil pressure particularly at idle.Check oil quantity. How long since serviced and filter replaced. If these all good have your oil pressure tested with a master gauge. Some issues can be oil pickup slugged up or if high miler engine bearings.

EPC LIGHT WONT STOP in my 02 Jetta

When was the last time you changed your Air filter( A dirty filter can put MAF sensor out of range). How about the fuel filter (Fuel starvation). These filters should be changed every 30,000 miles . It is normal for all of the dash lights to come on if the engine stops running. Is the Jetta a Diesel or Gas. Perform The OBDII scan again to see if current faults are present. Do the cheapest fixes first. Also check oil often. The low oil sensor will trigger engine shut down if more than 1 quart low

Oil light comes on when braking

Your oil pump is failing.... when your engine rpm drops (when stopping) the pump and engine rpm drop to idle..(light comes on). when you accelerate (rpm's increase) the pumps start working harder and the light goes off.... I am TRULY surprised the dealer(who did you see at the dealer???) did not know this,... THIS IS BASIC STUFF!! ... I mean 090 level mechanics...

Get the oil pump replaced immediately!!!!

The check engine light stays on after oil change. When you apply the brakes the steering wheel vibrates and there is a weird humming type noise coming from the rear while idling.

Hope the oil filter was changed and with the OE type and the correct oil grade.
If so the oil pressure switch can be clogged and so produce the check engine light.
When applying brakes the steering vibrates as it can be due to faulty linkages in steering column, problem in the hydralics pump or fault in the steering rod bearings.
finally the weird noise from rear can be from a faulty exhaust , leak or poor joint in the exhaust or vibration of the exhaust with loose mountings.

Oil Warning Light Hi, I hope someone can help. I have a Clio Sport 2004 and the Stop light and Oil Warning light turns on once I have changed into 2nd Gear and turns itself off again when I come to a stop....

check or change the oil filter sometimes if you take your car to a service tech they put cheao after market filters on your engine resulting in oil pressure issues also would be a good idead to check the pressure and volume from the oil pump to make sure the regulator valve in it isnt sticking

I have a 2001 beetle. A week ago my car ck engine light and temperature light came on and stated singing. I had oil added and oil changed along with fluids. code read sensor needed replacing. had oil and...

I had the same problem on my 2000 beetle and I had to change the water pump . Once you change the water pump you have to change the timing belt because the water pump is run by the timing belt .
you could know if it is the water pump by checking the hose that comes from the radiator to the enging to se if there is water running to the engine .

2002 Mitsubishi Lancer Oil Light at Low RPMS.

could be the oil pump, but before you get to that, whens the last time you had you oil changed? is it the right type? was the filter changed to? if the oil is to thick for your engine, the pump could be having a problem pushing it. If its dirty, same thing applies. Next time you change your oil, be sure to use a full synthetic. its a superior oil all around.

2006 Dodge Durango Oil light comes on

It might be faulty oil pressure sensor or bad oil pump, but might be adressed to recent oil change. Sometimes oil get viscouse in winter and cause oil light to come on. For winter the recommended one is 5W-30
Oil light should come on for less then a second during starting the car. If it comes longer or when you push the brake it might be the sign of bad oil (sometimes), faulty oil pressure sensor (mosty), bad oil pump (often) or internal engine problem (very rare).
Good Luck
