My radio go on but it's real low an only the front speakers worck is it a fuse or bad radio or bad speakers 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix 3.8 v six need help JT.thank u

The Entertainment System on this vehicle is configured with either a base or an uplevel system. Both the base and uplevel systems contain a radio, antenna, and speakers. An audio amplifier and digital radio reception (U2K) is available with the uplevel systems. Radio data system (RDS) is standard on all radios.
The following list shows the radios available for this vehicle:
ā€¢ Base Radio (U1P)--AM/FM Stereo, CD with Programmable Equalizer, and RDS
ā€¢ Uplevel Radio (US8)--AM/FM Stereo, CD MP3 with Programmable Equalizer, and RDS
ā€¢ Uplevel Radio (UC6)--AM/FM Stereo, Integral CD changer (ICDX) with Progammable Equalizer, and RDS

So which of these systems does your vehicle have ? If it were a bad fuse it would not work ,just like Paula said . But to just say the radio is bad , can't agree with that . Does your system have an Audio Amplifier ? That could be the problem , your best bet take it to a qualified repair shop .

Lost sound on 2005 impala. radio works. seems like amp problem.

Do you have base or up;level system ?

Table 1: Radio Features
Table 2: Cassette Features
Table 3: Compact Disc Features
Table 4: XM Advisory Messages
The radio receives power from the RADIO fuse in the junction block-right I/P. Ground is provided via G201 and G202. The radio is enabled/disabled by class 2 messages from the body control module (BCM). The radio routes audio signals from the digital radio receiver or the vehicle communication interface module (VCIM) to the speakers and/or amplifier when directed by class 2 messages.
The Entertainment System on this vehicle is configured with an AM/FM stereo radio with the radio data system (RDS) and either a cassette player or a CD player or both. CD and cassette. The uplevel system provides the customer with extended range speakers and an audio amplifier. Satellite digital radio (U2K) is available with uplevel systems.
The following list shows the radios available for this vehicle:
ā€¢ Radio (ULO) - AM/FM Stereo, Cassette with RDS
ā€¢ Radio (UNO) - AM/FM Stereo, CD and RDS
ā€¢ Radio (UPO) - AM/FM Stereo, Cassette with CD and RDS .The complexity of the radio systems on these vehicle is mind blowing .

Your best bet take it to a GM dealer , has features you are unawear of .
DTC B1025, B1035, B1045, or B1055
When the radio is powered up, the radio supplies low level audio signals to the speakers. If the vehicle is equipped with an audio amplifier, the amplifier will boost the signal sent to the speakers.
DTC B1025 Audio Output Circuit
Install a scan tool.
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
With the scan tool, monitor the DTC Information for DTC B1025.
Does the scan tool indicate that DTC B1025 is current?

2004 Dodge Ram 1500, Infinity sound system. CD/AM/FM not working.

You most likely need a new radio. They go bad all the time in the Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep. Don't know how many of them I have replaced.

Play my mp3 in 2006 Nissan Quest?

I was told the in dash radio unit will not play mp3's. as far as the dvd player, if you have the entertainment system i can't say. I do have two solutions for you.
1) the in dash cd player (mine is a 6 disc cd player) will not play mp3's at 128 bit compression, but for some reason or another I burnt an mp3 disc using the 256 bit compression, still smaller than the standard mp3 comparable cd quality, and unknowingly tried it in the cd player. The nissan quest played it. So it sounds as if the cd player is picky about how low quality of an mp3. 128 is a common reasonable quality. However, I was able to squeeze about 15 tracks on a 256 bit mp3 disc.
2) the in car dvd unit. If your unit is of the standard type, under the seat or mounted elswhere in the car, you could replace it. Dvd players sell for around $125.00+ and will play everything under the sun. reconnecting is not the biggest challenge neither.
& 3) You could purchase an additional hardwired device which allows you to plug in any audio device and play the sound through the Nissans sound system. The device into plugs directly into your wiring loom behind your factory radio. The best part is that the nissan system is already set up to receive this device. It will play through the sat1 or sat2 buttons. I searched and purchased the device online.
i had installed that before learning of the mp3 deal.
well good luck.
Sincerely, Flash
