How do you take the rivets out of the track where window sat in? Window was shattered
Remove the inner door panel, unhook the window glass from the regulator that lowers and raises the window,, lift it up by hand and glide the window outside the door, towards the outside of the car, it fits easier that direction and leaves more room for play,, install it the same way , from the outside in,, in removing the glass, some have a hole with a vinyl bolt holding them on, and others have a double sided tape, the bolts are easy , the tape is a little tougher,, us a thin putty knife or blade to remove it

The 2003 Sable has the same headlight assembly and removal/replacement instructions as the 2001 Sable. Once I had this information in hand, bulb replacement was easy.

It's not the motor, it's the switch. Obviously, the driver's side window gets used the most creating wear.
$66.88 from the dealer, $30.35 delivered to your door from switchdoctor.net.
In the meantime, SLAM the door shut several times. Don't be shy. This should allow you to at least close the window until you get your part.

If it "RED" in color, like p/s fluid, and coming from the BOOT, then its your p/s rack assembly. The unit has to be replaced and alignment reset. ..also check the HOSES they are prone to leak also...hope this helped..GL

In spite of your actual problem, you want your window up correct? Take a large rubber hammer and with the key on and the switch being help up rap the flat surface of the bottom of the door several times. I'm certain thwindow will go up. If it does, you'll need a new window regulator motor,or, a complete asembly. If it does not go up you'll have to search your fuses under the hood and inside. Also check the relays by swapping one out with a similar one (shape/ size) and if the car won't start but, the window works you'll know what you need. Thank You, Dana:)

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door
