Okay, you need to make sure the fuel pump is getting power and that you have the lines hooked up correctly. Also, when you replace fuel pumps you need to remove the air cleaner and use starter fluid to get the engine started.

Need to drain old gas from tank

The only proper way is to remove the gas tank completely and drain all the fuel out. The clean/dry out completely then re install it. Before putting fresh gas back into it.

I think i had a misfortune of buying bad petrol, now my car just spatters and switches off.what do i need to do?

besides draining the whole fuel tank -- the next best thing to do is to drain out the fuel filter completely and re-install,AND then go to your local auto parts store and buy some stuff call 'HEAT' ( this is a gas additive that removes water that may be in the tank ) and add this to the tank,, don't worry about the the correct amount to add ( fuel to heat ratio ) -- just pour the whole little bottle into the tank. now while you are at the parts store -- also pick up a 'octane booster' ( like 'Octane101' or something similar ) and add this to your tank along with the 'Heat'. between the two this will help curve the bad fuel. now since bad fuel does not burn very clean it is also a good idea to remove, check and clean your spark plugs,, if they look kinda on the so-so side, replace them with new ones,, this will ensure that you have good spark ( which is very important !! ).
now this has happened to me twice and to a few of my friends -- AND I would call the gas station that you got the fuel from and tell them that you got bad gas there,, I have actually got one of them to pay for the fuel clean out chemicals that I had to buy to fix the problem.
IF you want it done 100% correctly,, you can drain the fuel tank completely and start with new fuel,, but if you have a FULL tank - this could be kinda a big pain.. the best way to drain the tank would be to disconnect the fuel pump DELIVERY side line and just let the fuel pump pump the fuel from the tank into small gas cans,( you will need to buy a small hose to attach to the fuel pump to feed into the small gas tanks ),,, and then start with new fuel,, remember to drain out the fuel filter and check and clean the spark plugs.
if you need anymore help, please feel free to write me back here and I will do my best to walk you through the steps needed.

Camaro fuel pump

The fuel pump is in the gas tank. To replace it you need to drain most of the fuel out of the tank and remove the tank from the car. The car needs to be lifted up in the air enough to slide the tank from under the car. There is a metal ring on the top of the tank and it needs to be removed jently with a screw driver and a small hammer. This part (fuel sending unit) is worth lots of money so do not damage it. The pump is in the tank and will come out when the metal retaining ring/ fuel sending unit is removed. Install the new pump the same way the old one came out and reverse these steps for installation.
It may be possible to make the pump work for a short while if you hit the bottom of the fuel tank in the middle with a hammer.

Water in gas tank how do i remove it

Disconnect battery, remove the tank and drain it.The fuel pump is no good now too, replace it with new. After draining the tank, let it air dry for several hours so that ALL the moisture has dissipated. After reinstalling fuel tank with new pump, safely disconnect a fuel line up at the engine and place in a container.Add new clean gasoline, and cycle the ignition switch on and off so that the fuel pump will come on and flush the fuel lines of old contaminated gasoline and water. After a thorough flushing, replace the fuel filter with new. Also, add a small can of "Dry Gas" to the fuel tank as this will take any remaining moisture out of the tank.Good luck.

I've got bad gas and need to know the easiest way to drain the tank or otherwise fix the problem.

The tank will have to be removed from the vehicle and completely dried out.Gas tanks no longer have drain plugs as they did 50 years ago.Remove the fuel pump from the top of the tank, and thoroughly clean the tank with brake cleaner and compressed air and let air dry for awhile. The fuel pump and filter will need to be replaced with new,and after all the reinstallation, the fuel line must be disconnected at the engine, and the line flushed with new, clean gasoline as well as the return fuel line.Spark plugs will have to be replaced also.
