Automatic transmission :Genuine Diamond automatic transmission fluid SP-11M.

---------

For Manual transmission :SAE 75W/90 gear oil

------
To replace the fluid. There are no special requirements here. Drop the pan being careful not to damage the pan gasket with a container to catch the old fluid underneath it, replace the filter, replace the pan and then add about 4 quarts (via the dipstick hole) of the required Hyundai SP-III fluid you can get at the dealer. Double check the level with the engine warm and in park position. Be aware that your transmission uses a specific formulation of transmission fluid, available at the dealer. It is a bit more expensive than off the shelf fluid like Dextron, but you are only changing it every 30K, so the cost over time is minimal. -----------
this should help.thanks.Helpmech

What kind or brand of automatic transmission fluid i should use in 2002 nissan sentra

Just standard ATF, Not type F. Actually I have heard you can use any Tranny fluid in Non Ford models but can only use Type F fluid in Ford model vehicles. I used to use type F in my MOPAR with Performance engine and Tranny with no problems. But if you are worried then use ATF or ATF+4 fluid and you should be fine.

What type of auto-xsmsn fluid. How do you check it. Do you check the fluid level with the car running in Park? What type of fluid Dot3 or ?

Vehicle running, and i park, yes. Use ONLY Honda ATF fluid. This fluid is different than standard auto transmission fluid, and if a not approved fluid it will surely damage the transmission. Ask the Honda dealer for the equivalency in case they dont have it stock. The type my Accord uses is equivalent to Dexron VI , but Honda carries more than one ATF type.

I need the number of quarts of automatic transmission fluid needed for a fluid and filter change

it holds 5 qts, also it uses a certain type of fluid, if it has a 4.0 L it uses puls 3 type fluid, if it has the 4.7 engine then it uses plus 4 type trany fluid, it does it matter on the amount , both engines use the same amount of trany fluid which again is 5 qts, hope this helps and good luck.

Ford ATF is different from Dexron. Ford fluid contains banana oil, Dexron doesn't. Use only what it calls for. Or, you will always wonder. Good Luck.
