My 94 land cruiser stalls after it gets warmed up. This happens after 15 min. or so. it also occurs at diffrent speeds and even when i'm come to a stop. It will start back up after 2-3 tries. it then will stall every 5 min or so until i let it cool down.

Hi i have a 80 series 4.2 diesel wagon, i went 4x4 and got bogged in this mud hole/puddle for a while, i drove back and fourth until i got out, but while i was trying to get out it stalled, it started easy straight after it happened and it drove great for a few hours after then all of a sudden it lost power and stalls if you don't give it any throttle but it idles fine, I'm not sure what it could be?

Fuel filter land cruiser

Well, the fuel pump may be going bad. There's a fabric screen on the pick up tube in the gas tank that may be plugged. Look in the gas tank for sludge build uo.

Hello, I have a few ideas to give you. I am thinking the fuel line may have a hole in it somewhere and that you are losing the vacuum draw at low speed. You may also have condensation in the gas tank or gasahol may have separated and you are getting a glub of something other than gas that is rolling around the inside of the gas tank. When you go to stop, the gas moves to the front of the tank, leaving the heavier contaminates at the fuel pump pickup.

That being said, there may also be a problem with the fuel pump pickup itself inside the tank. As a note, for awhile the gas stations used a foam ball filter in their pumps. But when the netting detriorated, the loose foam balls were injected into everyones' gas tanks. (rice size pellets)

Another thing you can do is add a vacuum gauge to your instrument cluster. It is both nostalgia and functional to use a vacuum gauge. Also the proper carburetor setting is made using a vacuum gauge, turning the air mixture to the maximum attainable reading, then backing off so the vacuum level is about 1lb from peak setting favoring more air(more open).

I would be interested in what you found from inspection.

2007 Land Cruiser stalls to idle and non responsive to gas pedal

Had exact same problem after driving 120 miles in Florida heat. After 30 minutes started but ran rough for a day and now seem fine. Thought at first fuel filter or dirty gas. Going to replace filter anyway. Is this a common problem?

Going over bumps or bump roads, stearing shakes, pulls, at any speed fine after 15 min park

Please have a check at your steering rack and your shocks.

But I have a strong belief it could be your steering rack.

Vibration when in gear, and stalling.

The problem is the torque converter solenoid. I had it happen on my 94 Cavalier a few years back and was a cheap fix at the local car mechanic. What happens is the transmission warms up and hits a certain speed where the solenoid engages, but then it sticks and won't disengage until it cools down sufficiently. When it sticks, it causes the car to shake when slowing down and will snub out the engine if you come to a stop.

Differetial locks for 94 land cruiser

91-97 Land Cruisers had a factory option for front and rear locking differentials. This is a seperate switch and is usually located to the left of US model Land Cruisers. The center dash button locks your transfer case differential changing your Land Cruiser from all wheel drive to four wheel drive depending if you have ABS or not this button either says ECT or Center Dif Lock. If you do not have the Front/Rear locking differential option then your Land Cruiser has open Front and Rear. Hope this answers your question.
