1986 Honda Accord LXI will not start. It used to stall when idling at stop lights or stop signs, then the battery died. When I looked, the cable running from the terminal to the starter was disconnected completely. I replaced the terminal and now the car won't start at all. Very slow turn over, but will never fully start. All electric works and fuel pump is fine. Any ideas?

check timing, adjust valve clearance, check vacuum leaks. these are some that need attention.

you need to replace the iac motor the idle air control motor

check your tps sensor, or idle stop soleniod. they both control idle. Its not a major problem it wont effect your driving but may cause vehicle to die at a light.

with the engine running remove pos cable from battery and if it dies,bad alt.

It's fuel infected and it has a vacuum leak, most likely a PCV valve that is stuck open, I've seen a few now. Replace the PCV valve 1st, if that doesn't fix it, start looking for a hose that has come off.
