My boyfriend recently replaced one of the brake lights on my 2002 Galant. Today we noticed that when the brakes are applied the parking lights come on and the dashboard and stereo lights flicker. Could these problems be connected or should we look at possible fuse or wiring problems?

They two are coincidence at best. The likely problem is a bad ground at one of the rear taillights. What is probably happening is the brake lights are using the park lights power feed as a ground source which will cause all kinds of problems. I would bet that if you had the lights on and applied the brakes either the park lights would turn off, everything would turn off, or the lights would get dim. The bad ground could be a corroded socket, a bad bulb or a broken wire. It will take a little digging to find out which one it is.

There is rattling/clicking sound coming from under my 02 galant. Just replaced both axles but said sound is still there. What is it and what can I do to fix it?

If the sound stops when you lightly apply the brakes it is probably disc brake pads that weren't properly installed and they are rattling now that they are worn down. There should be a clip and disc brake quiet that keeps them attached to the piston cup of the caliper. If not they will rattle back and forth in the distance between the caliper cup and the rotor when the brakes are not applied.

2002 dodge durango wont shift out of park

Put your foot on the brakes and have someone see if you have brake lights. This has a shift interlock that uses the brake lights to complete the circuit that unlocks the shifter from park. You can bypass this saftey feature by applying brake, engine off key off and moving shifter to neutral then starting the engine Dont forget to fix your brake lights !!

Getting the car out of park without playing with the brake pedal. Is there a simple adjustment like brake lights?

This may be a safety feature that some vehicle have. You cant start the vehicle unless the brake is pushed or Move from Park to Drive or Reverse without the brake being pushed. If that is the case there will be no adjustment.

Had brakes repaired yesterday. Today can't operate Gear shift. What could be the problem?

Look on the side of the master cylinder for an unpluged harness.
...OT do the brake lights work? May have left the btake light switch unpluged.
The shifter will NOT pull out of park until it knows your foot is on the brake. What ever sensor it is that tells it so, is most likely unpluged.
Simple fix? - Call the person that did the job!! :-)
