My land rover 2002 had a problem , the mechanic said we needed to change the fuel pump, which I agreed to, the pump was changed and the next day the car could not start, now the mechanic told me he need to change the relay and the sensor , he is also telling me that they need a chip to reset the car. Check fuel pump, fuel pump relay, and also check inertia switch. In ertia switch is usually located inside the cabin on the driverside fire wall on most Ford products.

fuel pump is located underneath the fuel tank..... you will see fuel lines under

first disconect fuel lines then drop the tank down on the ground fuel pump is on the top pull fuel pump out drop new one in,need to change fuel pump relay when replaceing fuel pump relay is under hood in the fuse box.

for Land Rover Discovery 1999-2004 no more external Fuel Filter serviceable anymore...it's a built-in part with the fuel pump. so if you want to change the filter then change the whole fuel PUMP.

Under the hood next to the firewall is your multi-function box. It controls fuel and other things in your truck. You can pull your fuel supply line loose at the back of the injection rail and have someone turn the key on to see if you are getting fuel. If you are not, you will need test for power to the multi-function box and fuel pump. If you don't have a basic understanding of how to test for power to these components, my advice will not be much of an immediate help.
