I just don't get why that doesn't work right in the first place. ... I have 99 Yukon that has a problem with the front air. .... $55,000 for my GMC, I guess expecting cold air when we push A/C and getting 90 degree blast ... 2001 Yukon XL 1500 Front heat & air fine, rear ac blows hot as if heater is on in all settings. Often lights under a dash or indicators just blow out bulbs. If more than one thing isn't lighting and are centralized check fuses to see if its blown. Bulb or fuse. IMHO. MIGHT be a sensor on tranny too. Hope not.

Usually a sign you have a blend door that is stuck, or the controller has failed. The blend doors use small electric motors controlled by the main controller on the dash.

You have broken doors in your HVAC housing. This is a common problem with the older body style Rams. Does require moving the dash, but it's a fairly simple process.

Control switch is probaly at falt.

Usually a sign of low freon or a blend door problem. If the system is full of freon, I would check the blend doors under the dash.

We have this fairly often on our gm fleet with dual air controls. Replace the actuator and you will be good again (for a while!)

Chk. to see if the motor for the blend doors is working, its located at the left end of the heater box above gas peddel. If that is working than chanses are its the selector controls, there is no vacume its all electronic.

run a direct hot wire to axle concetion might get lost when moved if nothing take out your lockouts & re build or replace
