EPS indicates Electronic power steering warning light.---------The power steering needs to be inspected.The power steering pump, the power steering fluid, the power steering hose ,power steering belt and pulley. Get your car scanned by the dealer or at local car garage.That will be much helpful.As you will receive codes, as per codes you can replace the part or get the part checked.A fault in the wiring loop causes it to short on the steering column.This problem is very much noticed in Hyundai cars.-------

When the EPS light comes on - it means the Electronic Power Steering unit has detected a problem. It might it's not getting enough power to assist you in steering. Usually this is because the battery is weak or the alternator doesn't supply enough current to power steer the wheels.

Since EPS failure can lead to dangerous situations - i suggest to take it to a local repairshop and have it looked at.
