Eps of my hyundai accent lights and my power steering fails,how do i fix this problem

Did you change the battery? IF so that can cause this. The EPS is electric power steering. There is a motor that assists the steering system and if you remove the battery, it can have problems. If you hit something and the alignment went out or if you had it aligned by someone that does not know about these, it can cause problems.

Take it to the dealer.
Your car uses an electric motor to provide power assisted steering instead of hydraulic fluid. The light means there is a problem and a code should be set in the computer memory.

The increased force you have to use, is because the EPS is not assisting you as much as it was before, if at all.

The computer more than likely needs to be reset. No promises but look in your owners Manuel and it should tell you how to reset your cars computer

I have a 2006 Accent and also to me sometimes the eps light turn on while I'm driving. I turn off the car and wait few seconds before to turn on again. But how to repair this problem?
