The rear window automatic open and close system has stopped working on my jaguar stype,reg t55 jms

Get car ac system scanned. Might be an in car sensor fault

First off ck to be sure it needs a alternator start car test battery voltage at battery w/ car running in park should be close to 13 volts at battery if not ck alt fuse if ok replace alt.by removing radiator and cooling fan assembly to gain access to alt

i have a 2002 stype jaguar and there is a key slot underneath where the lights for the number plate is situated. slightly to the right.

use the ignition key in the keyhole underneath the boot lip by the number plate or under the chrome trim on the boot.

Yes. You will need a proper Jaguar changer with the correct fibre optic leads (d2b) then It will need to be programmed to the vehicle wich can only be done by Jaguar. You may also need the correct carpet for the n/s of the boot

By design, anything that is open or unlocked will close when you turn the key to lock the door....Not sure if its a problem?

The rear windows are controlled by a timer in the top's ECU. If
the rear windows stop fully closing before your top is closed, the
problem MAY be with top's hydraulic system.

Check your top's hydraulic reserve tank for low fluid level. Lack
of fluid will greatly delay the top's closing sequence, leaving
those rear windows partially open.
Your top's hydraulic pump system is located beneath the right side
of the cubby/storage box behind the front seats. Raise the cover
and you'll see a removable trim panel on the right side. The pump
is behind that access panel.

You can use power steering fluid to top off the tank, but don't
fill it above level indicator line. You may have to add more fluid
after you cycle the top up and down to get the air bubbles out of
the lines.
It could also be a relay. On a 95 the relays that are in the trunk above the battery.
Perhaps, just switching the relays might prove which one is failing..

The button or the fob will not work with low or no battery power - you need to use the key. There is a keyhole on the boot under the trim or under by the reg. plate lights according to what facelift model you have.

You can use your ignition key to open the boot, it has a key hole on or under the boot chrome trim

this year car is not fitted with remote modules not a 1995 model anyway just pull the radio out and have a look
