The earlier 1999 Discovery uses NGK BKR6E plugs or equivalent and the gap is 0.8 mm (0.025"). The later 1999 Discover uses NGK PFR6N-11 plugs or equivalent and the gap there is 1.1 mm (0.043")
That's two gap sizes. How do I know what is an "earlier 1999 Discovery" or a "later 1999 Discovery"? It's a 1999 Discovery 2 and 0.8 to 1.1 gap is a significant difference.....?
That is the information that the NGK catalogue gives. The only further information is that the former is for Discovery models 1994 to 1999 and the second is for 1999 and 2000. The PF plug has a platinum electrode while the BK plug is a standard type electrode.
