When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio. The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your vehicle manufacturer's service centre and get them to enter this code for you.
If you completed the repair the vehicle will reset on its own after several successful starts without that fault. the other methods are to get a scanner to rest it or disconnect the negative battery terminal for 60 seconds then reconnect it. Make sure you have written down the radio unlock code if you choose the battery method.

The unfortunate thing is that the code is matched to the radio. It should be printed in the manual that came with the vehicle. If you no longer have the manual you will have to contact the agents for your Jeep. They will be able to supply you with the code if you can prove ownership of the vehicle.
unfortunately you would only have the code if you bought it new, each code is radio specific and can only be obtained by the dealer, if you have the owners manual it might have been written down by the original owner if that is not you
Most likely there is an anti-theft code for the radio and you must enter that code to enable the radio. This will happen when the is battery is disconnected.
