I replaced the battery and the sirius radio doesn't work - it is stuck on aquiring signal for over 30 minuites. The owners manual says to wait at least 10 minuites and it should resync but it doesn't. It worked perfectly before th battery was replaced.

Disconnect the negative battery cable for 10 mins, then reconnect it and try. Sometimes it can lock out the Sirius unit, and by disconnecting the negative battery cable for 10 mins, clears out the whole system so it can be booted properly.

Thanks Jay!

When the battery was change a electrical minder should have been hooked up, but now you will have to go to the dealer, unless its in the front or rear of your owners manual under radio code, follow the manual, and you should be able to reset it

I have a 2009 Toyota Sienna van and had the battery replaced, the radio will not work now.

Does radio show "CODE" in the display?
Call dealer or look in your owners manual.
4 digit code will get it back.
Always save the "memory" in the systems when changing the battery.
Use an external 12 V. source to keep computer, clock and radio
memory.
Losing memory may cause the engine to NOT idle and run poorly as well.
A 9 V. battery in the cigarette lighter is one way.

Ford F 150 Radio stuck in Phone mode

Hi,
Leave the battery disconnected overnight - NOTE THE ALARM AND OTHER BATTERY DEPENDENT ITEMS MAY NEED RESET, or just pull the fuse for the radio - read your owner's manual..
If it still doesn't reset, you'll need to remove the radio or see if it has a reset option on the radio.

I put a new battery in my 2003 sonata and now the radio doesn't work. How do I get it to work?

If the radio lights up. Reprogram radio due to power failure. Should find instructions in owners manual if it is a factory radio. Otherwise look on line for reprogram instructions.

My 2008 ford focus sirius radio stopped working. sirius tried to reprogram, but it didn't work

Did Sirius resend a signal? If it is displaying their number it is likely that your subscription needs to be updated. The fact that it displays their info means it is likely receiving a signal. If it said "no tuner" or nothing at all, it would likely be the tuner. You can resend a signal online here:

If that does not work, replacement kits are available here:

Car was setting six days would not start got battery charged now radio will not come on or clock. will that drain my battery?

Unless they were left on (ie keys in the ignition) they shouldn't drain the battery in six days. Does the car start now?

If the car starts then you probably have a blown radio fuse, check the owners manual for the location of the fuse box and replace any that look burnt.

If it still doesn't start then you probably need a new battery.

I need to disconnect my battery in my 2005 GMC SIerra.....I do not have the code for my radio and I don't want to the radio when I am done working on my truck any ideas.

I'm not sure why you need to disconnect the battery but if it's to replace it you can connect another 12 volt battery to your truck with jumper cables or jumper wires. Connect the negative post to an engine ground and the positive to the positive jumper post. It's under a red plastic cover near the driver's side front of the engine. Just be aware that the positive battery cable is live and you'll have to be careful that it doesn't come into contact with a ground. That radio should have no code in it unless it's programmed by the owner. The default code is 4 zeros. If you bought the truck new and you didn't program a code into it you should be OK. Check the owner's manual. If you didn't buy the truck new and the previous owner programed a code into it your only chance is to get it from that owner.

The battery was replaced in a suzuki grand vitara 2002 after which the radio does not work

Most radios have a security code that must be entered into the radio before the battery is disconnected. In the event that the code was not entered or was not available, the security system will lock the radio so it won't work. It is an antitheft feature. If you have the owners manual, it should have a toll free number you can call to get assistance in aquiring a new code to unlock the radio. You can also call a dealership and they can assist you.

My 2008 Ford Edge cannot seem to hold the Sirius signal. It works intermittently. For no known reason I lose the signal. (No Signal) I have called Sirius and they have sent an activation signal and it...

I had a similar problem. Tune your sirius to 184, leaving the radio and the key on with the drivers door open. Let set for 15 minutes. Before you do this procedure, call sirius to tell them to send a boost to your radio. This should take care of your problem. Good luck :)
