Changed brake pipes,now trying to bleed brakes.They are not going tight. Can anyone tell me what the box is under servo that brake pipes lead into?Hyundia Getz

I have a 54 saab 9-5 that has lost pressure on the brake pedal, fluid level keeps dropping to very low and there is a whoosh sound from around the servo, does anyone have any idea as to the problem.

If you have checked round the rest of the vehicle for brake fluid leaks and you are unable to pinpoint a leak. Eg calipers, brake flexible hoses, brake pipes. The next step would be to check the brake master cylinder by removing from the servo to check the rear seals.

I am getting no fluid to my right front brake caliper on my 03 Kia Sedona any answers? New caliper and new hose installed?

hi shawn, have all the lines from the caliper to the servo been replaced. if they have are all the fitting tight. if not the might be a pipe at fault. is the bleed nipple tight before you try and build the pressure by pumping the brake. if all else has failed you could try a pressure bleed kit that gunson makes its a great tool for stubborn brakes. any mre info you feel maybe more help just let me know and ill try help you sort your problem.

What i need to know is the brake bleeding sequence please


Tools
Small container with brake fluid and bleeding pipe,spanner,fender covers and an assitant,jack and stands
. procedure
1)Fill the brake fluid reservoir to its maximum level
2)Make sure all bleed ******* are tight and there are no nipple
3)Always start with the furthest wheel from the brake master cylinder
4)Tell your assistant to climp in the car for about 10 times.
5)as he depresses the brake pedal,with your container insert the pipe on the bleed nipple then grab your spanner and loosen the nipple,do this procedure on all wheel cylinders until there is no air bubbles seen
. conclusion
After doing all the above adjust the brake fluid level

Unable to bleed brakes

If you tried to compress the caliper w/o the bleed port open you could have backed the fluids up into the ABS box and damaged one of the one way valves in it.

How do i change front brake hose on my 98 audi a4? where is it located?

Its located on the brake caliper and goes up to the brake line,To change just remove the high pressure fitting from both ends [very basic job]Fit the new pipe ,but now you have a new pipe but full of air!.To bleed out the new pipe just open the bleed screw [looks like a grease nipple on the top of the brake caliper]and connect a small piece of hose [must be a tight fit on the bleed screw]with the bleed screw loose and the hose fitted just fit the other end in to a container of brakefluid and press the brake slowly up and down till all the bubbles are gone{dont forget to top up your reservoir before you bleed it!!]as if the reservoir runs dry you will need a special bleeder to bleed the brakes [it requires 2 bar or 30 psi pressure to bleed out the system after the reservoir goes dry]

HOW TO INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER TO VOLVO S40

brake master cylinder is mounted on brake servo under bonnet . remove the metal brake pipes going to it remove 2 nuts holding it to servo remove from car fit new one fill with brake fluid dont connect pipes yet have assistant pump pedal when fluid flows out of all ports on cyl get assistant to hold pedal down now fif pipes and secure try pedal if it feels firm job done if not you willneed to bleed the whole system

Vw t4 1995 2.4 diesel brake problem, brakes no feel,changed servo

To check the vacum pump.all you have to do is remove the pipe from the servo,and with the engine running that pipe should be sucking.place finger over the pipe and check.If its not sucking then check the pipe for cracks.If the pipe is ok then replace the pump

hi, the problem your having sounds like you need the brake servo replacing this is a common problem on all makes of car and the cause is the servo.
The servo is the part under the bonnet that has all the brake pipes going to it and it also goes to your brake pedal these are not that expensive to buy but can be difficult to fit as you have to undo all brake hoses and pipes then when you fit new one you need to make sure the pipes are fitted correct else they will leek and also once the new one is fitted you will need to bleed the whole system at all four wheels to ensure their is no air left in the brake line.
Once this is replaced you should find you have no problems and then your brakes will be as good as new.

The only other problem to cause air in the brakes is if the back brakes are not disk then you need to remove the hub and check the brake cylinder that pushes the shoes onto the hub when braking but if your car has disk brakes on the back as well as front then i would replace the servo.
