P1518 - Intake Manifold Runner Control Malfunction (Stuck Open)
The IMRC system is monitored for failure during continuous, key ON engine OFF or key ON engine running self-test. The test fails when the signal on the monitor pin is less than an expected calibrated range at closed throttle.

An IMRCM PID reading approximately near 1 volt at closed throttle may indicate a fault

its your intake manifold runner. its a silver box. they all go bad. ether a corroded chip bord or the bar falls off that controls it. If you hear a rattle sound coming from the dash its a barr that fell off if no sound then corrosion. ford wants 600 to fix this but you can do it yourself without bying a new one. ill try to post a link.
Change the Mass Air Flow sensor.Or the the Volume Air flow sensor.Also replace the ( IAC ) Idle Air Control. There is no code P1518 are you sure they wrote it down for you correctly? I just had my Library of codes updated last week and it is not on the list. After all repairs are made make sure you have the Diagnostic Trouble Codes Erased from the on board computers memory. This will reset the check engine light and keep it from comming on again for thoes codes.If it does come on again and it relays more DTC you can ask me for further help through the Reply Window. A P1518 is a Intake Manifold Runner Stuck Open...It is a device that is held in place by three bolts and is located on the front of the intake manifold...There are two Actuator Rods...A 4 wire connector plugs into the top...Pin #1=Black (ground)...Pin #2=Dark Blue/Light Green...Pin #3=Red...Pin #4=Dark Blue/Yellow...
Check the connector for loose, frayed, contaminated, or open wires...However the Actuator is more than likely jammed with carbon...
P1518 Inlet Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open. Check to see if clips are broken. I would also get a haynes manual from your local parts store . Hope this helps
