If you have a valet feature on the alarm, turn it on and that should stop the alarm from sounding. Your best bet is to get a replacement remote and use it to disable the alarm correctly.

2001 Isuzu Rodeo wont start and alarm light blinks as soon as you open the door and if i leave the key open check engine comes on and blinks every seven to ten minutes

need to check for fault codes for the engine and the security system. the problem may be connected somehow, but it sounds as if you may have multiple problems.

Baterry was removed during servive now when trying to start the alarm goes on

when you hook up the battery, either use the pad to unlock doors, or use the key to unlock door, regardless if the door is unlocked or not. Had this problem numorous times, always worked. good luck!

198 isuzu rodeo starter clicks but doesn't engage and lights do not dim. alarm chirped unlocking. why wont it start?

Your battery has enough amps and voltage to power up the accessories, but does not have enough amps to engage the starter motor. The click you here at the starter is the solenoid trying to allow the starter motor to turn. Either replace the battery and/or check the battery connections for corroded terminals.

I just bought a 1998 Rodeo and got halfway home before the anti-theft alarm started going off on the highway. The alrm went off when I unlocked the doors. The keyless remote is shot. Will a replacement...

You cannot disable the system because it's tied directly to the ignition system. The remote is most likely not the primary cause of the issue. Anti theft systems are directly wired to the computer and are designed to disable the vehicle if necessary. It sounds to me like you have two issues. One being the remote. Change the battery and it should function properly, but you may still have the problem of the lights and the alarm sounding off due to the sensor on the ignition switch itself. That will most likely need to be replaced to resolve the issue. Hope this helps, good luck!

Use the key and unlock it from the passenger side. That will disarm the alarm then using the key unlock the driver door and start the vehicle.

98 isuzu rodeo factory car alarm

There is a separate computer box for the car alarm, try disconnecting the wiring harness that goes to it.
