Navigation does the 6.1 navigation have a override (to program it while the car is in motion) Also is there a way to increase the text display while using sirius satellite radio

My database showed this for upper intake manifold. 3.6L engine. Hope you can read it, text is a little small. 17 ft lbs, tighten in a circular motion, outward, starting in the middle.

1. Insert key into the ignition and turn it to the On or ACC position, turn off radio. (do not start the vehicle)

2.Press and hold DISP button on radio until settings is displayed.

3. Press Seek until FOB PROG is displayed .

4. Press Prev or Next and BEGIN will be displayed

5. Press DISP and programming will begin when PUSH FOB is displayed. Press and hold Lock and Unlock together until vehicle chimes. This will signal successful programming. May have to hold buttons up to 20 seconds. Hold Lock and Unlock on additional remote until vehicle chimes again.

6. Exit programming mode. Scroll to Exit and press DISP to exit programming.

If you don't have the original radio, it can be done with a scanner.

AS programs can be altered I would have it checked out at a dealer service centre as they will need the keys and the vehicle to see if it can be done

You need to remove the silver trim plate from around the shift console. This is done by gently prying it up using a screwdrive or similar tool (sometimes this can be done using only your fingers). At the top left corner of the grey shift cover you'll see a the word "OVERRIDE". There is a small plastic cover that needs to be rotated out of the way and then you can insert a small screwdrive/fingernail file or similar device into the slot and push down. This will allow the shifter to be moved out of PARK.

With the ignition in the "RUN" position (engine does not necessarily need to be running, but it will work either way).

System is now in DIAGNOSTIC MODE. After diagnostic mode cycles through and stops, press FAN DOWN button until "RFA?" is displayed, then press FAN UP. If "RFA DATA?" is displayed, press FAN DOWN. If "RFA OVERRIDE?" is displayed press FAN UP button.

If "RFA S00 NO OVERRIDE" is displayed, press FAN DOWN. If "RFA S01 PROGRAM FOB #1" is displayed, press FAN UP button.

IPC will show "0" on right side of Drivers Information Center (DIC) display. Press WARMER button on the climate control unit until "99" is displayed.

Press and hold TRUNK button on the transmitter. While holding TRUNK button, press LOCK button and hold both buttons for a total of 3 seconds. Locks will cycle when programming is complete. If transmitter is not programmed within 30 seconds after entering "99" on the display, system will default and you must begin at step #2 again.
To program second transmitter, press FAN DOWN button until "RF S02 PROGRAM FOB #2" is displayed, then press FAN UP. Repeat step #4.

To exit system, press AUTO, MODE UP, MODE DOWN, or RESET button.

A bad plug, If the car is sitting at idle it doesn't require a lot to keep the plugs firing, so when you drive the spark increases more frequent and one of the plugs may not be able to fire on every stroke at the best it should causing a mis-fire. If you change these, use a OEM type because some of these platinum and higher rated plugs will make a 4 or 6 cylinder runs worse. I've seen this happen quiet often.

If Lexus can't fix this there is nothing anyone here can do for it. Anything that can be done needs the proper scanning and reprogramming equipment only Lexus has. Being that the car is new when enough people complain about this they will come up with a fix, Their may be a recall on it in the future. But for now your going to have to live with it or trade the car in. I know you did'nt want to hear this but but if some yahoo directs you wrong it will cost you hundreds just to get the programming back to the way it is today. Some navigation systems if you disconnect the battery you will have to go to the dealer to get them to reprogram it. Use lots of caution when guessing. New cars are not made for the average back yard mechanic to touch.

you need to get a tech 2 to be able to promram the key fob

Use these instuctions if your Deville has an Analog Instrument Cluster
1. Press OFF and WARM buttons on Climate Control Panel (CCP) simultaneously.
(Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) will light all telltales, then go blank) System is now in diagnostic mode.
Press PASSENGER COOLER button until “RFA” is displayed, then press FAN UP.
If “RFA DATA” is displayed, press FAN DOWN.
If “RFA OVERRIDE” is displayed, press FAN UP.
2. If “RFA 500 NO OVERRIDE” is displayed, press FAN DOWN.
If “RFA 501 PROGRAM FOB #1” is displayed, Press FAN UP.
3. IPC will show “0” on right side of Driver Information Center (DIC) display.
Press warmer button on climate control unit until “99” is displayed.
4. Press and hold TRUNK button on transmitter. While holding TRUNK button, press LOCK button and hold for one
second. Hold both buttons for a total of 3 seconds. Locks cycle when programming is complete (if remote is not
programmed within 30 seconds after entering “99” override display, system will default and you must begin again at
step 2.
5. To program a second remote, press FAN DOWN button until “RFA 502 PROGRAM FOB #2” is displayed, then press
FAN UP. Repeat step 4.
To exit system, press AUTO, MODE UP, MODE DOWN, or RESET.

1. Press OFF and WARM buttons on Climate Control Center (CCC) simultaneously. Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) will
light all telltales, go blank then enter DIAGNOSTIC MODE. Press FAN DOW button to scroll through system until
“RFA” is displayed, then press FAN UP button. Press FAN DOWN button until “RFA OVERRIDE” is displayed, then
press FAN UP button. When “NO OVRD RF 500” is displayed, then press FAN UP button.
2. When “PGM FOBL 501” is displayed, press WARM button and “99” will be displayed in left upper corner of IPC just
below odometer. System is now ready to program remote.
3. Press and hold TRUNK button on transmitter. While holding TRUNK button, press LOCK button and hold for one
second. Hold both buttons for a total of 3 seconds. Locks cycle when programming is complete (if remote is not
programmed within 30 seconds after entering “99” override display, system will default and you must begin again at
step 2.)
4. To program second remote, pres FAN UP button until “PGM FOB2 502” is displayed, then follow steps 2 and 3 to
program second remote.
To exit system, press RECIRC or RESET buttons.
