That sounds like a problem with the high beam switch in the low beam position. The contact is bad or the detent retainer isn't keeping the contact engaged.

Hedlights don't work on 2004 f250

Its either the switch, the fuse, or the relay(s). Some have seperate relays for each headlamp. The odds of both lamps, hi and low beam, burning out at the same time are nil. Do the hi-beams work? Could also be the hi-beam switch is bad. Turn the light switch on, and jiggle or flip the lever and see what happens.

Low beam head lights not working - The low beams, both stopped working. The high beams work fine. I checked the fuses and all 4 are good. I even swapped the low and high beam fises just in case. No...

if the fuses are good then you need to check for power and ground at the headlight plug that attaches to the headlight bulb if you have a good power and ground there and the connections are good then the bulbs are both no good.or if you can tell the bulbs are burnt out by looking at them then you don`t have to check powers and grounds.you also can directly feed power and ground to the bulb and check both the terminals for high beam and low beam as you cannot tell which is which by looking at the terminals

How to replace a 2001 ford focus headlight switch assembly

p, li { white-space: pre-wrap; }

Turn the engine off, open the hood, and disconnect the negative battery cable (--) with your pliers.

Locate the power distribution box against the firewall on the driver's side of the engine compartment. Flip up the latch and remove the plastic cover.

Determine which headlight fuse you want to replace. The 2001 Ford Focus uses four headlight fuses--one for each headlight. Fuse number 16 is for the passenger side low beam; fuse number 17 is for the driver's side low beam. Fuse number 26 is for the passenger side high beam; fuse number 27 is for the driver's side high beam.

Grasp the fuse with your fingers and pull it straight out of its mount. Insert the new fuse in its place. Replace the plastic cover and reconnect the negative battery cable.

Whenever I turn my headlights on my ford focus 1.6 xl 2003, full beam is always on. How can I turn full beam off?

the hi-lo beam switch may be bad. i dont think you can turn it off unless you keep playing with the switch and get them to go to low beam.
