IAT Sensor Where is the IAT sensor on the 2008 x-type jaguar...... please post me!!!!!!!!

IAT, is the air temp.
this sensor varies by what engine you car has. (and country)

3.5 L V6 this engine? is common in USA>
out side USA is this
It is equipped with a 2.4 L engine and CVT
vast diffr. engines... no body ever post engine or country so i must as

why are you worried, about IAT, just a clue, helps.
the scan tool said its bad?
ok , i logged in for you, looked up this sensor
and this 3.5L has a MAF, Air flow meter near air cleaner.
and guess what , the IAT is inside the MAF !!
why not post the why so we can help,
post symptoms. or, scan codes, or? really

It all depends on which engine your Accord is equipped with. This is really nice-to-know information when you are asking somebody for help with your engine control circuits.

For the 2.4L engine: At the MAF/IAT sensor connector, Pin #4, GREEN/BLACK is the "sensor ground" and Pin #5, RED/YELLOW is the "sensor input" for the IAT.

For the 3.5L engine: At the MAF/IAT sensor connector, Pin #1 GREEN/YELLOW is the "sensor ground" and Pin #2 RED/YELLOW is the "sensor input" for the IAT.

P0420 = Catalyst system efficiency below threshold (Bank 1) - possible sensor fault ?
P1111 = Intake air temperature ( IAT ) Sensor circuit intermittent high voltage - again a possible sensor or cable fault.
Take the car to a reputable repair shop and they will be able to confirm the faults by testing.

It is mounted inside the MAF

on the intake manifold passenger side near the front i think

The IAT sensor is along the intake tube before the throttle body. If your planing to buy the performance chip from EBAY or any other place, save your money. You can go to Radio shack and it will cost you less then $3.00 for the resistor needed to make your own "performance Chip" IF you like you can use and 10K ohm potentiometer wire it through to the IAT sensor wire harness so you can adjust your timing for the type of fuel you want to use or how much performance you want out of your engine. Here is a link to the installation of the resistors and the different resistor's you can use or like me use a Potentiometer. Note if the timing is to high on hot days, the knock sensor may trigger and the engine will power down 15% till next start up. Yes. That is exactly it. The Air Intake Temp Sensor is built into the Mass Air Flow Sensor on the Air Filter Box. Below is a picture...


I personally have not connected one of these Chips to a Tahoe...What I can provide you with, is the Connector Diagram so you know exactly what Wires you need to Splice in to. See below...

It is either in the air filter box or in the rubber air intake hose, it is very small with 2 wires going to it.

most of times it is located on the big breather hose after the air filter
