If it's leaking that bad, open the hood take off radiator cap and fill with water (without making a mess and spilling a bunch. Then simply watch for where the leak is at, if it's leaking from a hose, the radiator, or from around the area where the belt is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment. If it's leaking from the passenger side around the belt area your water pump is the most common cause. They are made so when the bearing wears out around the shaft the pulley bolts, it has what are called weep holes and the water just runs out to tell you to replace the water pump.
Water pump has a small hole on bottom(behind the pulley)which leaks
hard to see but you'll see a stain in this area(mirror helps see)
best to pressure test system if you dont see anything leaking
good luck
If your water pump went bad would hear a bad noise near the pump because it has to constantly keep pumping the radiator fluids around and inside the engine to keep it cool enough at all time. Your problem is that there is a leak with one of your connections of the hoses so you have to do a simple test by putting more fluid into the radiator and then start the car so the engine gets hot while having the hood up so you can see where the leak is coming from but also you might have to put the car on ramps and get underneath the car with a flashlight because one of the hoses underneath might be leaking so you can detect where the leak is coming from so you can replace or repair the problem.
It's not that common for a bad water pump to actually make noise. I've had about a thousand of them go out and never make a sound, they just leak water. I'm sure that they could make noise but isn't the first thing to check to see if the water pump is bad for sure. Other then that we are on the same page.
