Hello i went in to a store and when i came out my 2000 hyundai sononta wont start my dash, headlights and that little red led alarm ligh are flashing but nothing happens when i turn the key. I tried putting the key in the driverside door turning left then right but that dident work. It has to besomething with the alarm right.

Cud be a bad battery effecting the computer--also try another key--ignition switch or wiring may have issues

I take it the key fob doesn't work Try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes and see if that will reset the alarm. You may need the key fob to reset.

This says it has a standard H8, halogen or LED or HID. If someone has replaced Halogen with either HID or LED, the control circuits can interfere with the car's BCM. Both HID and LED can flash when they are failing.

There is a blinking red led light under lower left side of driver and steering wheel attached to dash. It blinks ALWAYs!!!
This is most likely your "Valet" alarm disable switch. Use to disable your car alarm so you can keep your Alarm Fob and let a Valet, mechanic, friend etc. operate the car without the alarm being functional. If it is an after market alarm, consult the mfg's manual, if OEM contact dealer for operating instructions.

since the alarm is sounding I am assuming this is an aftermarket alarm system

if it where the factory system the vehicle would not start but the alarm shouldn't sound

do you have a little red light on the dash flashing somewhere....if so then there is a kill switch somewhere on the vehicle... look under the dash

that red LED is the Alarm, if its solid red, its fine; blinking is about to trigger I think and off means the Alarm is active and opening a door will set it off.

as to why it wont start...not a clue,
check gas, make sure its in park,
you said its turning over but not firing, perhaps its a bad sparkplug or just flooded...

pull the fuse/ power supply on the main alarm module. it should startt. hook it back up and it should re set.

It's an ignition problem. If you keep trying to turn over it will start. It's an anti theft device they installed. The little car with the flashing key. Someone likely tampered with your ignition before for this to happen.
