The VIN may be located on the passenger side of the windshield way down in the corner as well. You will need to look from the outside for a tiny metal strip. Not sure which side is driver side in Canada so this is why I say either side, to avoid confusion.

You have two possibilities here, depending on the age of the vehicle. If it is a late-model, you can try looking for the data-tag, typically located on the driver's side door jamb. Specifically, you are looking for the Mfd. Date. On the other hand, if your vehicle is a classic, you can look at the taillight lenses. At the bottom of the lens, you will see a long series of hyphenated numbers. The very last two numbers in this sequence refer to the year of manufacture. (i.e 12-3456-789-65 would be a vehicle made in 1965) Hope this helps. Have a great day!
The vin number would tell you this, you can find this in the drivers side door jam, and contact your local DMV, they would have this on file via, registrations.
