There should be 2,both are in the exhaust 1 behind the cat.converter & 1 upstream
if the truck has dual exhaust it may have more than the 2.if your reading codes it will
list them as bank 1 sensor 1 or 2. sensor 1= upstream 2 = behind cat
good luck

Majority of GM that year is on the exhaust manifold or pipe coming off the manifold before it goes into the catalytic converter. Kind of looks like a spark plug with a wire coming off of it screwed into the pipe.

Where is bank 2 oxygen sensor on 99 gmc yukon denali

Bank 2 is passenger side. Sensor 1 is the upstream oxygen sensor in front of the catalytic converter and sensor 2 would be downstream under the vehicle

Where is the oxygen sensor located on a 1999 GMC Yukon with a 350.

You have four O2 sensors in your vehicle. Bank 1 and Bank 2. Typically it is Bank One, sensor Two that goes out from minor oil leaks on your engine. Here are a couple diagrams. Lay down behind your right front tire and look up. Look for cracked wires or burnt areas by connection. You can't always tell by looking. Easy to replace and fairly cheap.

How many o2 sensor are on a 2004 gmc yukon

Hi Charles,

GM products have 4 O2 sensors attached along the exhaust pipes coming off the manifold. Bank 1 is aligned to cylinder 1 on the engine which is the driver's side. Sensor 2 is the one after the convertor (Sensor 1 being the one before the convertor). Link attached for more information.

Oxygen Sensor Locations

I have changed out one of mine; quite easy, but you need a sensor wrench which you can find an any automotive store for around $15.

The part is available readily enough - link attached.

Good luck

Engine running rich after emissions check

Hi,
Your oxygen sensor is designed to send a signal to the engine, telling it to burn more or less lean as determined by the oxygen in the exaust. This may be your culprit.
I hope this helps... Good luck.
