Fan only works high speed. For AC compressor runs but no fan other than when switched to high speed at which time the fan runs at high speed but AC switches off.

Make sure ac compressor clutch is not engaged even though ac switch is off. If clutch is turning compressor on due to stuck relay etc, ecm will turn on fan due to signal from pressure switch. You may need a scan tool to view scan data and determine source of fan issue
a resistor went bad for your blower motor. It is located by the blower motor on a circuit board. You can get the replacement resistor at Radio Shack and solder it in.This fixed my problem
The problem is the blower motor speed control resistor, it is located near the blower motor in the housing. I exchanged mine and it works like a charm now.
HIGH PRESSURE CUTOFF SWITCH LOCATED ON AC COMPRESSOR DISCHARGE LINE LEADING TO THE CONDENSOR.THE HIGH PRESSURE CUTOFF SWITCH WILL CUT OFF THE AC COMPRESSOR IF SYSTEM PRESSURE RISES TO HIGH CAUSED BY RESTRICTION IN THE REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT OR OVERHEATED CONDENSOR.MAKE SURE COOLING FAN IS RUNNING WHEN THE AC SWITCH IS ON.THE COOLING FAN KEEP CONDENSOR COOL, IF COOLING FAN DONT RUN.YOUR AC WILL STOP BLOWING COLD AIR.HAVE THE REFRIGERANT SYSTEM CHECK OUT.MAKE SURE YOUR LOW SIDE PRESSURE IS 10 - 37 PSI. THE HIGH SIDE PRESSURE SHOULD BE 112 - 210 PSI. CHECK THE AC COMPRESSOR CLUTCH FUSE AND RELAY.
the compressor may be low on freopn but, the fan problem is most likely the fan motor as it is the low temp fan and will run more often than both fans...to test see if you can switch the fan plugin to the other fan watch carefully that it does not get too hot as the second fan is a safety fan that works as high temp or when using the A\C
Never just replace any item because someone suggested it may have failed. Before replacing anything, you need to check each item for any signs it's bad. In addition to what I mentioned, the blower motor itself can also cause a problem if it is worn out and is drawing too much amperage to operate. If the blower makes any noise or the wiring becomes warmer than it should be after replacing any damaged parts, look at the motor. Bad motor ground can cause problems as well so check that too.
It sounds like your cooling fans are not working.Need to check the cooling fan fuses, and the cooling fan relays. There is also a high side switch mounted somewhere on the high side of the ac system that cuts the fans on,or kicks them up on high speed when the ac system gets to high on the high side of the system. This switch may also cut the compressor off.I would check the fuses and relays for these fans first, this is more likely the problem. Is the car running normal temperature? If not the fans may not be running at all.Have them checked. The fan or fans may be bad them selfs. If I can be any more help, let me know.>>[email protected]
fan elays are under hood in black box by battery. 3 of them. 2 for high speed, 1 for low speed. Default is high speed when there is a probem.
Suspect maybe they shorted something out when fixing dent. Did they do any welding on the van? Connecting the cables to the body can sometimes send voltage where it's not wanted.
