I assume that you have the equipment to read the OBD codes, as you say there is no fault, this being the case you should be able to reset the fault indicator with this equipment. Otherwise you will need to perform drive cycles to clear it (you will find these at http://www.bluejag.co.uk ) or just sit back and relax it will turn itself off in time.

With the light coming back on you are most likely to have a problem.
You can access the hidden diagnostic screen (see the bluejag site) here you can get a readout of the current fault code. Or better stil get the codes read if you don't have access to an OBD reader.
If you can read the OBD code and look it up (BlueJag again) then it may well tell you where the problem is, ignor the P1000 or P1111 codes, there should be another, or others. My OBD reader will get the trigger code(s) as well as P1111 /P1000 codes if the light is on. The other code(s) will tell you what caused the light to trigger. Normally it's cam sensor or lambda sensor issues when it comes on and then goes off, if it's the cam sensor you may notice that it clears and then comes on again if you accelerate hard. if it's a Lamda sensor you may notice that your fuel bill has rissen (without help of the Gov or Oil companies) as the car will use more fuel (mpg decrease).
