Open the door and immediately place the key in the ignition, that will shut off the alarm. The batteries in the Keyfob are probably dead and need to be replaced. You will see that the keyfob can be opened, though do it carefully, and you can replace the batteries. This will fix the remote. You may also have a valet button in the car which temporarily disables the alarm and will keep the alarm from sounding if the door is opened.

In case of a problem or clarification or my solution was insufficient, don't hesitate to post me a reply.

If you are satisfied, rate my solution with the "thumbs" or (even better) add a testimonial.

Will this work if the computer was not reset properly after having service performed? My key fobs will not open the door, but I don't want an alarm going off for a long time that I have to find a way to shut it off.

2004 Jeep Liberty. No Start. Does anyone have any ideas?

That is a whole lot of issues that needs an auto electrician and a pro grade scan tool computer. We have a pro electrician here @Jeff Armer and hopefully he will chime in. Sounds like a communication issue with BCM and ECM which I think is combined into a TIPM.

2003 Jeep Liberty Sport. Replacement key but no key fob. How to bypass?

You can't bypass alarms and immobilizers. They are there specifically to stop what you are trying to do. You have to fix the problem, not find a way to beat it. You need a transponder in the key (a chip) and you need that key reprogrammed. You need the fob.

To reset the Jeep Liberty alarm, press the control door-lock button on the keyless entry fob. Open the side door of the cab. Leave all doors closed for around 16 seconds before the Vehicle Security Light on the instrument cluster starts blinking quickly.

2003;Jeep Liberty Sport 4x4, anti theft issues..... Copy of Key , I don't have the key fob

Start with this

If You want to reset the alarm on the Jeep Liberty then You will need to follow these steps. To begin You will want to get into the Jeep and close the doors. Now hold down the control door lock button for 30 seconds. Once You have done this insert the key into the ignition and turn it on. Once it has been turned on You will want to turn it back off, and then back to one again. This will cause the security light to start blinking. While it is doing that turn the Jeep on and the system will be reset. If You wait too long the light will stop and it will not work.

or this

To reset the Jeep Liberty alarm, press the control door-lock button on the keyless entry fob. Open the side door of the cab. Leave all doors closed for around 16 seconds before the Vehicle Security Light on the instrument cluster starts blinking quickly.
