I replaced my battery and the radio does not turn on nor do the head lights. All fuses are fine. The lights show if i want to flash the brights. But nothing steady. I even replaced a bulb with no change. I'm not going to spend $100 for a diagnostic that'll tell me something I already know... but I need some code to turn those and the radio back on.

Well, I guess you won't be using the radio or driving after dark

You will get the code when you spend something,
because without the scan tool it won't happen.

1991 sable dash lights go out

Have you tried to replace the headlight switch? I ask that because you say the radio and clock go out, with the headlights on clock and radio go dim, so not so bright at night but bright in day to see them. So maybe the switch is bad?

Your radio, when power went down/off it went into LOCK mode. You're going to need to enter security code to get on again. It's an anti theft radio. Hopefully you have code in glovebox or with owners manual. If not you need to contact Pioneer and they'll want radios' serial #

Dashboard lights won't come on

Most often the tail lights and dash lights share a single feed and fuse.
Assuming you have checked the fuses (probably marked as tail or courtesy)
If you have good fuse and the head light gives a voltage out while in the 'parking light' position (usually between off and headlights) then you need to start chasing wiring.

Radio lights

check the position of your dimmer switch for your dash lights.(Turn your head light switch clock wise or counter clockwise with the head lights on)
