96 Saturn sw2. While driving in gear there is a noticeable ticking in all gears, it seems constant with the rpms but when you press the clutch the noise goes away even if u rev the engine.

Simple test - put the gearbox in first , run the car at idle and listen, now put it in neutral, fully stopped, release the clutch and listen : if the noise is quieter then the defect is in one of the bearings from the shafts inside the gearbox; if the noise is louder is in one of the gear sprockets or its synchro rings.
In either case the gearbox will have to be dismantled and the faulty part replaced a job only a repair shop can do. It will be expensive so be prepared for a stiff bill.
