speed odo is blank and o/d flashes and abs and brake light is on

I had the same problem, my mechanic fixed it by changing the master cylinder sensor( switch) which costs 23.95. from ford dealer.

Its your ABS system. There is a faulty switch/sensor on the master cylinder. It leaks brake fluid into the wires connected to it and causes the circuit to short, resulting in a blown fuse that controls the AC, odometer, speedometer, cruise control and ABS light to stay on. This can even cause a fire in the vehicle. A fire can occur even when the vehicle is turned off. To correct the problem go to this link - http://www.fordwindstarrecall.info/

you can go to the ford fleet website and download a owners manual.
pages 183-189 talk about fuses and tell you what they are and the correct fuse amp to use.
I too had some of the problems you are experiencing. my speedometer and odometer quit working and the abs light came on and aldo my cruise control quit.
I replaced the fuse and that fixed everything at once.

this sounds like electrical problem and can be as simple as a fuse. please check the appropriate fuses
