A blocked line shouldn't cause the pump to blow a fuse. It is most likely a short in the wire somewhere that caused the fuse to blow, and would also keep the pump from starting even with a new fuse.

the fuel pump is burnt out. the pump uses the fuel to cool itself. running low fuel the pump heats up and burns the plastic gears inside. thats why the fuse blew. need to take out gas tank to change pump.

Changed the fuel pump in 2001 ford Taurus afterwards car wont do anything, not even attempt to crank and i don't hear the fuel pump prime.

Is battery fully charged? And possibly could be fuel regulator also. There is a YouTube video about something like this...vacuum line might have a hole and fuel pump may have connections backwards..

Vw golf turns over but wont start but willl with starter fluid and when it starts runs for a second but stops

Check fuel pump relay by replacing it with another one from the Power distribution assembly. Make sure that you use one with the same number on it. This sounds so petty, but is there gas in the car? You'd be amazed how easy that some of these are to fix. Next in line is the fuel pump itself. Standing outside the car with an assistant in the driver seat, have them just turn the key to the run position. Did you hear a small motor run for just a second. Good. That's the pump pressurizing the lines and injectors. Don't hear it? You did check that fuel pump fuse already, right? Then, there's the possibility that the pump has failed.

I have a 2005 kia rio.i started my car, started ok ran for a min and then just shut off.it turns over but does not start.

Could be a million things but my first guess is no fuel from pump. The car would run for a little while while it burned up what was left in the fuel line then die and not restart. Try turning key to ON position (not just ACC) and listen, do you hear the fuel pump in the tank come on and pump for 3 or 4 seconds every time you put the key in the ON position? If you don't hear the pump you probably aren't getting any fuel, check the fuse under the hood (the underside of fuse block cover will say which is the pump fuse, also check the pump relay that's also in there near the fuse).
If you do hear the pump it could possibly be a clogged fuel filter but also many other things, fuel is my first guess though.

Vehicle will not start, normally when ignition is in on position there is a whining noise for a few seconds, I wait until the whining stops and then start the vehicle. Now, when ignition is on on position...

Hi. The whining noise you hear is the fuel pump priming the fuel lines. If you don't hear the sound anymore then your fuel pump has stopped working. Check your fuses. Also look for a relay for the fuel pump. The relay will usually be in a large box under the hook that says fuse and relay panel or something similar. If the fuses and relay are working the the pump will probably need to be replaced.

I have a Mercedes 2003 C230. Checked my Fuel line, Fire to Ignition, and Change Camshaft Position Sensors. Car Cranks but still does not start. What else should I look at?

Turn the key and listen for a hum (keep doors closed but a window down and radio off). Don't turn the key all the way to try to crank it, just the turn to get all the lights in the dash on. If you hear a slight hum or buzz that last a second or two that is your fuel pump. If you don't hear it, check your fuse for the fuel pump, if that is not blown, your fuel pump may have gone out.

Fuel stopped working, no fire to spark plugs

When I hear no fuel or fire I always think of ignition module first. The moudule tells the coil when to fire, and if you don't have fire at the plugs then the fuel pump won't run due to saftey issue. Take your module in to parts store and they will test for free.
