You need a good auto-electrician. Something in the shifter is causing that fuse to blow. It must have some shared power. Your doors work fine. Take the control apart and check for chafing, and check all the way down to the transmission.

Check switch above brake pedal , one for brake lights

ajust shift linkage at the trans under the car--a haynes manual at a partstore will xplain--use jackstands cause a jack will move and fall

Is the gas pedal connected to the throttle body ?
Is the check engine light on ?
Can you speed up the engine when in park ?
Have you checked fuel pressure yet ?

On my '96 Olds 98, brake transaxle shift interlock is simply a pain in the ***. Solution: always press foot brake AND parking brake hard and hold while shifting into park and shutting down engine. Try not to park "downhill." Read owners manual;"shifting out of park." This even calls for opening and shutting the door! If you can't start in park, try neutral. If all else fails, unhook red battery cable for a minute. Re-attach and restart car, which should re-set computer to recognize your key, which has a computer chip embedded in it. Worst option EVER invented!

An old solution is to thin the g/box oil with some Auto fluid but call your mechanic or g/box place & ask if that is ok with your g/box.

Try shifting into neutral, insert the key, start the car; then: press the brake to the floor and, shift into park.

check the brake switch located at the top of the brake pedal. sometimes this will go bad and wont allow youto shift into gear. possibly nuetral safety switch

some of the trannys has straps in them that sometimes needs to be tightened and that could be the cause of it

set your parking brake, insert your key into the shift interlock, located next to your shifter, push all the way in, move your gear shifter to neutral, remove key, start car, release parking brake, drive away, have it serviced ASAP
