If you like the trimmer you can send the battery pack off to various places who will put new (and better) batteries in it. Do a web search for "rechargeable tool batteries" or "battery pack replacements" there may be a place nearby

Battery
The WORX WG250 hedge trimmer incorporates an 18-volt 1.7 Ah Ni-Cd battery pack. You can use this battery pack with other WORX Ni-CD PowerShare tools. The included charger takes about an hour to restore a dead battery to full charge.

MY BATTERY IS LESS THAN 1 YR OLD. I AM TOLD THERE IS A RECALL ITS A LITHIUM 18 VOLT

I wouldn't hold your breath. They have been selling trimmers with cheap batteries forever, that is how they get their costs down. You can either keep buying new batteries or just switch to a different trimmer. I recommend plug in or gas.

Trimmer is one yr old. Battery was kept inside during the winter and now won't take a charge. I called the Worx service nbr. Waited for 35 min. Went on the website Worxbattery.com and can't...

You can buy replacement batteries on ebay. If you can afford it I would highly recommend buying a quality trimmer at your local hardware store. I have had experience with the Worx trimmers and they are just plain cheap.

I have three 18v lithium batterys they will not charge. #s wa3512. I have owned two less than a year; the other one a little longer. When i put them in charger all i see is red light blinking, I have three...

The batteries are dead, if you do a bit of searching you will find out that these batteries all die very quickly. Unfortunately they are very cheap and will never last very long. I highly recommend buying a different trimmer, the Worx trimmer will always cause you problems, they are just plain cheap.

Worx trimmer works for 5 minutes then dies

The battery is dead, Worx contracted with a cheap battery manufacturer, you can buy replacements on ebay, but they will fail quickly too. I recommend getting a new trimmer unless you want to buy new batteries every year.

Starts but will not stay running. smoke blows out the back, would this have anything to do with the gas/oil mixture?

These amchines smoke a little, but if it is smoking a lot,.....either the gas/oil fuel mix has too much oil or the engine is badly worn. If it is the engine, power and acceleration will be lacking . Too much oil in the gas may eventually foul the plug...lest you mix up a batch at the proper ratio. 40:1 is good. 3.2 oz 2-Cycle oil to ONE gallon of gasoline. Always use fresh fuel in these small engines. If the mix is over 1 month old, dump it back into the can, pour it all into your car (won't hurt it) and make some new.
