On crankshaft gear there is number one , this will match to the idler gear 11 marking. and the other marking on crankshaft gear is matching to the oil pump gear.. hope this will help.

Just a thought, I have changed timing chain before and when I put tensioner on it would throw off timing mark. I would offset the timing mark one tooth and when I would put the tensioner on the timing marks would line up.

Very carefully undo the nut on the earth terminal by No.1 injector. ... Mark a tooth and the housing (tipex) to ensure the fuel pump is fitted back the same way.

Usually timing marks are readily identifiable. It could be a small notch in the end of the pulley or gear, a small indentation on the edge of the gear, or a black dot, or a small arrow, sometimes one of the gear teeth are slightly larger at the base, there will be a corresponding mark on the housing below the pulley or on the opposite gear. You need to clean everything well and then look carefully to find them. Failing that go to your local library they subscribe to online service manuals from Hynes and Chiltoins, you can look it up there for free!
There is a special tool to put back the injection pump. MH063302 OR IT EQUIVALENT. On crankshaft gear mark 1, on idler gear mark 11 to match them. watch the timing chain marked and idler marking.
in front of the deisel pump the gear wheel is slightly cut/chip mark to the back of it take it out, and place it on t or n (t for turbo n for non turbo) .normal timming is good .If not hand turn until #1 piston is up and #1 cam shaft lobes are not touching cup & shim then set pump to desired mark
