Hi, I took my daughter to her riding lesson this morning and sat in our Honda CRV 2002 watching her lesson in the rain with just the radio on and the engine off. When i tried to start the car after the lesson the battery was flat. The car next door tried to give me a jump, but the alarm went mad giving a loud solid noise which wouldnt switch off using the alarm fob and eventually the sound faded and there was nothing, no ignition lights or anything. Tried to jump from another car, but totally dead - no lights or anything. By now 2pm Sunday afternoon so in desperation bought new battery - still nothing. Any ideas?

This is a long shot: disconnect the Postive terminal on the battery. OPEN the drivers door, LEAVE IT OPEN and connect the battery. try to start the car. On some alarms the system will reset this way.

Hi radio codes are usually noted at the front of the owners manual or service booklet if the selling dealer was doing its job properly(sometimes a default code of "0000" is used Cheers Tom
The reset code for the factory installed radio is on a sticker in the glove box. The sticker has 2 set of numbers. The number set with 5 digits is the reset code for your factory installed radio.
I had the same issue with the radio code error lock on a 2005 CRV. I was unaware of the code procedure and had locked the radio in the "ERROR E" mode. I was able to unlock the radio by pulling the #9 back up fuse located in the fuse box in the engine compartment. This reset the radio to CODE which then allowed me to input the 5 digit number which I had in my glove box along with my owner's manual. I am happy to report I now have a working radio/ CD player.
