The red wire goes to the positive on your battery. It should conect to a post on the back of your alternator near where the wire harness plug goes into. Sorry i dont have any diagrams or pictures.
Check the conector plugs. These often get corrosion in them. You will need a test light.connect it to a good earth and stick the probe in the plug coing to the wiring loom. If u get power with the hazards on re connect the plug and try the same where the bulb goes in. Could also be the connection to the bulbs. If its a faulty plug cut it out and join the wires n should work fine. No power to anything its a broken wire or bad connection in the wiring loom
locate the thermo sensor wich activate the fan's.Remove the plug and bridge out the two wires with only the ignition on.If the fan comes you need to replace the thermo sensor. If the fan still dont work then you have a wiring or relay problem. If the relay is faulty the same taes can be done as on the sensor. Find the relay and match the wiring colour that goes to the fan.On the relay harness you must test for two power supplies and bridge the one power supply to the fan wire.If the fan work;s and you do find two power supplies you only need to confirm if the wire from the sensor to the relay has continuity. If the wire is fine then you know that the relay is faulty.
i dont know the order but i do know that you can get a book at the auto parts store on your car and it will show you it is a haynes book and it usually goes for around $14.
check for a spark at the plugs if you dont have this then you will need to check that the ingintion coil has a live feed and and earth the pins 1 and 3 on the conector if you have this then you will need to check that you have a pulse from the hall sender this is in pin 2 of the conector check it with a circuit tester and the led should flash if it does then the ignition coil has had it if not then check for a live and an earth at the hall sender ( three pin plug on the distributor ) pins 1 +3 if this is ok you will need a new distributor also worth checkin for a live at both of these with someone cranking the engine if you loose the live feed under cranking the you will need an ignition switch
