This could be as simple as a bad battery have you tryed to jump start it? if you try and that dosent work make sure you have power going to the starter with jumper cables on the battery. it should at the very least make a clicking sound while trying to start it check the battery posts also make sure they are clean and if it does click give it a minute and try starting it again.[ dont take the cables off the battery while waiting] the fact the starter doesent even click when you try to start it tells me no power to it or bad starter remember just because its new dosent mean it works i cant tell you how many times i have put somethig on a car and had to take it back off because it didnt work from the boxx new. and make sure the starter wires are tight and clean. if no clicking and you have power to starter then starter is bad.. i hope this helps..

Won't start, battery good, starter good, swapped relays and still won't start

Any issues with the ignition switch itself? They are mostly made of plastic pieces. With the exception of the actual cylinder. Also depending on how long you had the battery issue,it may have damaged the alternator. They tend to go hand in hand, unless caught early enough. The alternator gets overworked due to the weak battery.

Maxima won't start, wiring, key lock cylinder

It sounds like your starter relay could be bad.

My '99 saturn sl won't start. the battery has a charge, and the alternator is good, but it won't turn over.

Hi Vernon, There could be a number of different reasons why your vehicle is failing to start. The battery voltage could be dropping during start and become unable to engage the starter motor to turn the engine. You can check this by trying the key with the head lights switched on. If the lights become very dim, you'll need to check the battery, meaning clean the terminals and then try to start with a jump from another battery. If you achieve start up and it fails again the following morning, you will probably need to replace the battery. There could be a problem with the starter relay or a loose contact for the starter motor, most lik3ely the one connecting to the soliniod. It would be good to know some additional information, such as does a clicking sound come from the starter when engaged? Is there a perceptible drop in voltage output when the starter is engaged? does the enine turn at all? Try what I've suggested and if that does not solve the problem answer the questions and let me know anything else which you may think is relevant. Regards John

Car won't start. There was a clicking sound and the battery voltage was good. I removed the relay switch in the fuse box for the starter and tried a new one. It started right up. Then, that same night,...

I am the type that likes to jump start a car to troubleshoot it. If you jump start the car and it starts that tells you that the starter and engine is good and the problem is in your battery or alternator. If it doesn't start then I take the serpentine belt off and try to turn the engine with a large wrench. If it rotates, then I replace the starter and starter solenoid.

The car won't start; lights, ac, radio etc come on but car won't turn over or even click; checked battery cables; put different battery in; still won't start

Check the starter and the starter relay or fuse. A client of mines car was doing the same thing, it ended up being two issues, the starter not working anymore, and a relay that was bad. If I am not mistaken everything should be labeled in the fuse box under the hood and will tell you where the fuse/ relay is for your vehicle
